_POV:IN THE HUMAN WORLD_

"Why dont we go from house to house," Lax suggested..

No choice or plan was offered, but the crew followed nonetheless.

As they reached the first house, a rustic cottage with overgrown gardens, Aria nudged Nimue.

As they argued on who would, Xavier stepped forward, his tall, lean frame blocking the entrance. His piercing silver eyes seemed to bore into the door as he knocked. He backed them both, his hands tucked into the pockets of his black leather jacket, his expression serene.

The door creaked open, revealing an elderly woman with wispy grey hair and warm, wrinkled skin. Her eyes widened as she met Xavier's gaze.

"My word..." her cracked voice whispered. "H-how may I help you,mister..?" A warm smile spread across her face.

Xavier's eyes scanned the house before settling on the old lady. "I'm looking for a boy," he said, his voice low and smooth, tilting his head slightly.

The lady's smile broadened, displaying worn teeth.
"Does the boy perhaps have a name?"she asked

A voice called from inside.

"Ma, who's at the door?" A young girl with slender figure toward the door, her eyes widening as she took in Xavier's imposing figure.

"Whoa," she breathed

"This is a waste of time,"

Kael growled, pushing Xavier aside. His sharp, angular face twisted in a scowl as he walked inside the house 

"H-hey!" the girl and her grandmother protested, hastening after him.

"What are you doing!?" The lady yelled

Lax's broad shoulders filled the doorway, his gold-flecked eyes scanning the interior.
Aria's slender frame glided beside him

Nimue's gentle features were set in concern, her eyes flicking between Kael and the frightened lady and her daughter.

"Where is he?!" Kael snarled, his eyes blazing with fury as he swept the room. His sharp fangs bared out slightly

"Who is this....he?!" the grandmother yelled, shaking her trembling hands in terror.

"I'll call the cops if all of you don't get out!" the girl threatened, phone in hand.

"One!" she warned, her voice trembling.

"Calm down," Nimue soothed, stepping forward, but Kael pushed her, sending her crashing into a glass table. The sound of shattering glass filled the air.

Nimue's eyes flashed green, a flicker of magical energy dancing in her eyes "Ah," she hissed in pain

Lax reacted swiftly, grasping Kael's neck and tossing him through the wall. The sound of crunching drywall echoed through the house.

The old lady and her daughter screamed in unison. "Ahhh!!"

"Let's get out of here!" Aria yelled, helping Nimue up.

Kael stumbled out, limping, his eyes burning with an unnatural hunger...

"That was so not necessary!" Lax bellowed, his gold-flecked eyes blazing.

Outside, the group's tension was palpable. "K-" Lax turned, but Kael wasn't with the group

"Where's that bastard?!" Lax roared, his eyes flashed a golden light

Xavier's expression remained serene, unruffled by the chaos.

Kael appeared, swift and silent, behind the group.

Without notice Lax snapped his wrist, ready to strike.

Werewolves and vampires were notorious for their quick tempers, and today was no exception.

The fight erupted, Lax's punch sending Kael crashing into the nearby wall. Kael retaliated with silent speed behind Lax, clawing his back...Lax growled and groaned in pain arching his back

"Stop!!" Nimue and Aria shouted in unison.

Xavier remained detached, arms crossed.

"That does it!" Aria said anger evident in her voice her eyes blazed blue as she clapped her hands together, unleashing a sonic boom that sent Lax and Kael flying.

They crashed into walls, the sound echoing through the quiet neighborhood.

As they stumbled back, Aria's expression was fierce. "Enough!.."

"Are you two mad!?" She yelled

Suddenly Nimue gasped when she saw two boys,their resemblance obvious as they both had short spiky blonde hair and a short stature they walked towards the scene their mouths hunged in the air

"Wh-what the flying fuck was that!?" The first boy pointed at Aria..

"No way did we just see that.." the other boy yelled
