SOMEHOW THEY THOUGHT that not having slap bands would be fine and they'd get into the gig.

But Summer had dressed up too nice to think rationally; she wore a baby pink tight dress that flared at the bottom, it stopped mid thigh and the chest section was completely lace. Her hair was straight, and on her face she had a full beat down.

It didn't matter where they were; she would be wearing pink. It wasn't even an option for her to go out and not wear pink.

The three of them watched as the security guard had made some guys walking in show their slap band, which none of them had.

"Shit," Darren panicked, turning around.

"Okay, chill." Amerie said.

"Ams, what are we gonna do now?" Summer asked her.

"Um... No, I have a plan." She told them with a nod.

"And they work so well," Darren replied sarcastically.

Dusty's dad got out of his car, holding a case of beer and walked into the house.

"I hope Dusty's dad is feeling bicurious tonight—"

"No, I'm doing it." Amerie declared, stomping towards the door, "I'm going in raw."

"That's not what that means!" Darren stated as they followed behind her.

"Hey, I lost my band, but my name should be on the list." Amerie explained to the bouncer with a smile, lying out of her teeth.

"Yeah? What is it?" He asked.

"Harper McLean."

Darren then took their chance to run in.

The man looked down at the list, spotting the name. "All right. In you go."

The two girls shared looks of triumph before they went to go and walk in.

"Thank you."

"Hey," The bouncer reached for Amerie's arm and pulled her back, Summer turned in confusion.

"Is there a problem?" Summer questioned, walking back down.

He looked down at the list and shook his head c "No. Sorry, Map Lady, no can do."

"Seriously?"

"Seriously."

"Are you kidding me?" Amerie said, raising her eyebrows.

"No," He responded, "Move."

"I mess up once," The girl muttered as she started to walk away, "Once!"

"Fucking Spider," Summer remarked with an eye roll.

"Hey, it's almost like actions have consequences, yeah?" Missy said to Amerie, causing the girls she was with to laugh. They walked away into the house.
