SUMMER WAS IN a great mood as she walked to school. When she woke up that morning, the bruises on her neck had practically fully healed. It was basically just engraved in her now to cover her neck in makeup, but now she didn't have to.

She strolled to school with a grin, she walked in through the gates to see Darren and Quinni, except Malakai was with them too.

She took a deep breath in and walked over.

"Hello, gorgeous bitches." Summer greeted with a grin, "Guess who finally learnt how to rearrange equations last night? Me!"

The others all chuckled, but the laugh she heard the most was Malakai's. She turned to him with a smile, "Hey."

"Hey," He replied.

"You're back," She stated, trying to hide how happy she was to see him.

"Yeah," He nodded.

He looked happy and maybe that was good enough for her. She didn't know if his whole metal state could change from one camping trip, but it was progress.

Amerie and Harper walked over, hand in hand. They were friends again, which made Summer very happy because that meant Amerie was happy.

Summer grinned at them, "Why do I wanna cry?"

"Shut up," Amerie replied playfully.

"I can't believe they're still here after what they did," Quinni said as she looked over at the group of boys which had serious issues. Now called the bitch boys from Summer.

"So, they barely get community service, yet we're all probably gonna get suspended." Darren spoke before looking back at everyone.

"We did wee in her recycling bin," Quinni stated, causing them to chuckle.

"There's a lot worse waiting for her in her filing cabinet," Darren replied before looking between Malakai and Harper, "You two are gonna be the only ones in SLTs not getting shat on for our little protest."

"Gutted I missed out, to be honest." Malakai chuckled, he glanced over at Summer who smiled back at him.

The bell rang and they then started to walk towards school.

"Um... So I guess I'm sorry or whatever." Darren told Harper as they walked to school.

Amerie hung back, looked over at Cash.

"Me too," Summer added with a smile, "We're share a bestie now, so you better be my bitch too." Harper let out a chuckle.
