SUMMER SPENT THE rest of the weekend trying to force herself to get over Malakai and move on from their relationship. So no matter what she was feeling, she told herself that their relationship doesn't exist anymore.

She wanted out of her obsession with Malakai. Them breaking up showed her how unhealthy it was. She liked him so much that it physically hurt her.

She raised her eyebrows as she watched Harper stride down the corridor; she wished she had her confidence.

"Whoa," Quinni said as they all stared at her, "Half the school thinks she's an untouchable icon."

"And the other half thinks she's a batshit banshee," Darren added.

"And I am not wasting another brain cell thinking about her," Amerie responded with a smile before she turned to Summer, "And neither should you."

"I'm not," Summer shrugged her shoulders, "I spent all weekend realising I shouldn't give a shit about anything, or anyone other than you guys. My lock screen's changed, got my nails redone and all hoodies that were not my property first and in a box out of reach."

"Okay, Summer, wake up." Darren said to her, "One minute you're throwing up over him, and now you don't give a shit? Your heart is shattered
into a million, tiny, pathetic pieces."

Summer rolled her eyes before she glanced over to see Malakai down the hall, a black hoodie on. She stared over at him and their eyes met.

Not again.

"Let's go," Darren touched her shoulder before they started to walk off, "Forget about Threesome Boy."

She glanced back once more before Quinni wrapped her arm around and they followed behind the other two.

"I'm the hottest thing this side of the bridge and he's treating me like a foot fungus," Darren voiced before holding up a middle finger to Quinni's camera. "Cash is officially expired."

Summer leaned on the railing with a frown.

"Maybe he just doesn't like boning it up as much as you do," Quinni suggested.

"Oh, please, have you seen who he hangs out with?" They questioned, "If those eshays aren't dealing drugs, they're wheeling with their dicks."

Summer shrugged. He did have a point; Chook was horny all of the time.

"Not everyone functions the way that you do," Quinni told them, "And besides, you guys haven't even had a conversation about what you're both looking for yet." She smiled, "That's something that Sasha and I did when we first started dating."

"Aw. Or I could just get shit-faced and forget he ever existed." Darren replied.

"Shit faced doesn't sound too bad," Summer said.
