SUMMER HAD WOKEN up feeling exhausted. She felt drained after being awake for only a few seconds. She hoped that the Slay Ball would be perfect and she'd get too fucked up to care about anything.
The group were at Darren's for pre's.
"It's heaps eetsway," Darren quoted what Cash had said to him, "I'll let you know, bro." I swear to God, I need subtitles for him sometimes,"
"Well, Malakai needs to learn how to shut his mouth." Summer said with an annoyed expression.
"To be fair, you did tell us about it too." Darren stated, applying lipgloss onto Amerie's lips.
She scoffed, "I left out key details. He literally told the whole basketball team that he pulled out. What the fuck is that?" She glared at Darren, "Whose side are you on?"
"Yours, babes." They replied.
"I thought that Malakai was the exception to guys turning feral when they all join together," Summer said with a frown, "Clearly I was wrong."
"I'm sorry, boo." Darren spoke comfortingly, "Straight men are the worst."
"Lesbians aren't that easy to deal with either," Quinni added as she took the glass of prosecco from Amerie and then took a large drink.
"Everybody sucks," Amerie declared.
"Mmm!"
"Except us," Quinni replied. She passed the glass back.
Darren hummed in agreement, "You know how I feel about people that aren't us."
There was a knock at the door, "I'll check." Darren said before putting their drink down and leaving to go answer the door.
"I knew Sasha wouldn't show," Quinni told the girls.
"I know that she's your girlfriend," Summer said, "But she is such a bitch." Amerie nodded in agreement. Quinni just let out a sigh.
"Guys, should I be a slut and hookup with someone tonight?" Summer asked them, the alcohol already hitting.
"No," Quinni protested, shaking her head. "You didn't even break up with him."
"I told him that if he wants a girlfriend, he needs to act like a boyfriend." She replied.
"That's not breaking up with him," Amerie told her.
"Whatever," She rolled her eyes, "I don't think I'd be able to do it anyways... I think I'm in love with him."
Quinni gasped in excitement.
"Shut up," Amerie scolded, "You're not even dating. You've known him for barely a month."
"A month of him being perfect... until now."She frowned, "I miss my man."
