Legolas and Aragorn had been chatting as they walked through the palace hallway, heading toward the training grounds. As they turned the corner, they were surprised to find Eladan suddenly appearing before them with a mischievous smile.
"Going somewhere?" Eladan ask.
Legolas turned to him, a slight grin on his face. "Eladan," he replied, "we were on our way to the training ground."
"Oh, let me take you there," Eladan said, Legolas and Aragorn exchanged glances, sensing a bit of mischief in Eladan's tone. Nevertheless, they agreed, deciding to see where this was going. "Lead the way then," Legolas replied, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
Legolas, Aragorn, and Eladan arrived at the training ground, a spacious outdoor area with various training equipment and targets. The air was filled with the sound of grunts and clashing swords as a few guards sparred with each other. Eladan, still wearing a mischievous grin, observes the scene. "Shall we begin?" he asked, his eyes sharp as he gestured towards the weapons rack.
Legolas and Aragorn set to work, their movements swift and precise. Legolas wielded his bow, his arrows finding target after target with pinpoint accuracy. Aragorn, on the other hand, danced with his sword in hand, his footwork quick and graceful. They were clearly skilled warriors, but Eladan's watchful stare was hard to ignore.
Legolas' arrow found its mark with precision, and he couldn't help but smirk with satisfaction. "So, Eladan," he began, turning to the younger elf. "Any particular reason you're fixating on us with that intense stare of yours?" His tone was light and teasing, but there was a hint of curiosity beneath it.
Eladan let out a soft sigh, picking up a bow and an arrow. He began to practice his shots, his movements fluid and graceful. His arrow flew through the air, and much to their surprise, it struck Legolas' arrow with impressive precision.
Eladan turned to Legolas, his tone now serious. "I just wanted to understand what Nana sees in you," he admitted.
Legolas raised an eyebrow, his expression both surprised and curious as he watched Eladan's arrow collide with his own. "Is that so?" he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
He then continues "It seems you have some concerns, Eladan. But I assure you, my intentions are purely honorable. Your Nana is a remarkable woman, and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her."
"She took me in when I was an elfling," Eladan began, his tone soft but filled with gratitude. "I owe my life to her, for she saved me when orcs attacked our camp. My parents were killed, and I vowed to protect her with all my might."
His gaze then shifted towards Legolas, his eyes filled with a newfound understanding. "You see, in all her long years, Nana has never had anyone special, but yesterday, I saw a spark in her eyes when she looked at you.", Legolas heart filled with warmth because of eladan's words.
Legolas listened intently, his expression softening as he absorbed Eladan's words. He could sense the weight of gratitude and love that Eladan carried for Y/N, and he felt a newfound respect for the young elf.
"Your loyalty to your Nana is commendable," Legolas replied, his voice gentle. "And I can assure you that my growing affection for her is driven by genuine admiration and respect. I will do everything in my power to protect and make her feel cherished."
Eladan glanced down for a moment, a small smile playing on his lips. "Please do," he said with a note of teasing amusement. "I've never seen Nana blush like that before. It was quite an experience." His voice was filled with warmth.
A flicker of amusement sparked in Legolas's eyes at Eladan's response. "Well, I must say, it's quite heartwarming to hear that I had such an effect on her," he replied with a smile.
