Love lies

Chapter 1

"Get out and keep your head down" one of the guards yelled to Reena as she warily looked around at the vast land of KGF.

Reena was brought to KGF as a slave to work here amongst the others. Reena coughed as the dust entered through her mouth. The people were packed into tight rows, walking to their infinite doom.

Suddenly Reena tripped on a rock and she was about to faceplant into the floor but someone was quick to catch her, their hands gripping at her waist.

"Are you okay?" the man asked and she haphazardly nodded.

The man scanned her body, his eyes lingering for a second too long making Reena's heart skip a beat.

"Get in" the guard shouted pushing people into small huts where they would stay.

Reena was shoved inside followed by another person and the door to the small hut was shut. She turned around only to meet eyes with the man from before.

"What's you name?" he asked settling inside and she sat a few feet away from him, her knees at her chest.

"Reena" she whispered and he nodded.

"Rocky" he introduced and she gave him a small smile.

"I guess we will be staying together" Rocky said and Reena nodded.

Little did Rocky know Reena wasn't any ordinary girl. She was a spy, hired by the CBI to investigate on the Sultan of KGF. So she disguised as a slave to get more information. But she didn't know that Rocky was hired to kill the Sultan.

It was finally time to sleep after a long day of work. Reena laid the mat on the floor and laid down on her side.

She was about to close her eyes when Rocky walked in. He had just finished showering so his hair was still slightly damp and he rubbed a small cloth through it.

He eyed the mat and Reena moved over so he had a little more space. He laid next to her and they both initially sat in silence staring at the ceiling.

Suddenly Reena started shivering as it was night time and cold. Rocky could hear her next to him and turned to he was facing her.

"Are you okay?" he asked and she gave him a small nod, wrapping her arms around her body.

"I'm just a little cold" she said and he smiled.

He opened his arms out, beckoning Reena and she gave him a questioning look. Finally, unable to take the cold she caved in, snuggling close into Rocky's arms.

Rocky rubbed his arms across the length of her back, pulling her closer into his chest and within a few minutes Reena was fast asleep.

Rocky couldn't help but feel a growing affection for Reena within just a few days of meeting her. But he knew he had to focus on his mission first. After that he would become the new Sultan of KGF and propose his love to Reena.

A few weeks past and Rocky was focused on his mission, not paying much heed to Reena and she was also focused on her mission.

It was the evening and everyone was gathered by the mines as a women was giving birth. Everyone anxiously waited to see if she was having a boy or girl.

If she had a daughter she would be killed. Reena's heart beat nervously out of her chest, the chorus of baby cries echoing through the silence.

"Its a girl" one of the women announced to us all, holding the innocent baby in her hands. Reena lowered her head in sadness as she was unable to anticipate what was to come.
