Chapter 30- The wedding!

Only 1 more day till the much awaited wedding of Rocky and Reena. Right now, everyone was busy getting ready for the haldi. 

Reena was dressed in a beautiful yellow silk saree and was escorted to the garden for the function to commence. Happiness lingered in the air as Reena's family and the people of KGF began applying haldi on her. 

Her friends took playful digs trying to cover her but Reena was quick to react, dodging their attempts each time. 

Just as she thought that was the last of it, she caught her to best friends shamelessly giggling in the corner. 

Reena frowned, meeting their eyes. "What are you two giggling about?" she asked but they just innocently shook their heads.

However as she was about to stand up, a large hand appeared from behind her head, covering her whole face in haldi. 

Reena gasped, closing her eyes and trying to fight of the hand. She wiped the thick paste off her face and turned around to see Rocky with a malicious grin, holding up his palm, smeared with haldi. 

Everyone burst into laughs and Reena scowled, taking a few careful steps back before charging at Rocky with full speed. 

Rocky, who was still in shock at the turn of events realised that Reena was running right at him, and before he could react, her hands met with his chest, pushing him full force into the pool behind them. 

However Rocky was sly so he grabbed Reena's hands, taking her with him as they both fell into the pool with a large splash. 

Reena gasped, coughing slightly as she smacked Rocky's arm. The water in the pool had slowly turned yellow and Rocky couldn't help but smile a little at how Reena's plans backfired. 

The kids all squealed in delight watching their playful banter and Reena splashed some water on Rocky to piss him off. Rocky grabbed Reena's wrist, pulling her closer so her chest was flush against his. 

Reena's eyes widened, trying to push herself back. "Rocky what are you doing, everyone is watching. My parents are here" she whispered and he just shrugged. 

"What's so wrong, I'm only doing this with my fiancé" he said casually and Reena rolled her eyes trying to move back. 

Parvati held back a laugh as she shouted for them to hear. "If you do all the romancing now what's the use. Leave some for tomorrow night Jiju" she joked and all the adults laughed under their noses as Reena's face burned red and she climbed out the pool, running to her room in embarrassment.

Reena sat in bed, her mother and best friends by her side. She glanced to the side to see her wedding saree carefully draped on the table, her jewels all set by her dresser. 

It all suddenly felt too real, the wedding was tomorrow. A day she dreamt off since was a little girl was finally here. The three women noticed her quiet demeanour and gently nudged her. 

"Are you alright Reena, what are you thinking about?" Vaishnavi asked and she shrugged, staring at the intricate designs of mehndi that adorned her hands.

"I'm just a little nervous i guess" she murmured, though the smile never left her lips. Revathi smiled, caressing her daughters hair. 

"Well dont worry, Rocky will treat you right we know it. You have nothing to be nervous off" Revathi said and Parvati and Vaishnavi nodded in agreeance.

"I know. I'm super excited. Everything is perfect" Reena said dreamily. She glanced at the clock, her heart racing with excitement. Just one more night, and the rest of her life would begin.
