Chapter 12-restless Reena

Reena looked back to see John holding a gun, smirking as Rocky's body hit the ground. Panic filled Reena as she immediately leaned down, picking up Rocky's head and lifting it onto her lap. The guards were all shocked and looked to Reena for orders.

"KILL HIM DAMMIT" Reena screamed and the guards charged at Adheera's men who now had the upper hand. 

The field turned into a bloodbath, bodies scattered all across the floor. Reena looked down, tapping Rocky's cheek trying her best to keep him conscious. 

"Bhabhi, he's loosing a lot of blood. We will deal with Adheera and his men, you first get Bhai to KGF" A guard said and Reena haphazardly nodded, as the guards lifted his body, taking it to the car. 

The time bomb was ticking in Reena's head, each second more valuable than the last. She beckoned the driver to hurry as her tears mixed with the blood.

 Her blouse, once a beautiful white was stained red with guilt and sins she wasn't able to escape. 

"I'm sorry-I'm so sorry" she choked, the guilt suffocating her.

When they arrived to KGF, Reena felt sick at the sight of all the people crowded to see Rocky and Reena, expecting their victorious return. She was scared how they would all react seeing their saviour covered in blood. 

In their eyes Rocky was invincible, a man who could move mountains, a phoenix risen from ashes. His loss was not only his but shared with 15 lakh people. The guards opened the door and carried his limp body out. 

Reena felt tears roll down her cheeks as she once remembered when she told Adheera that a good persons blood never touches the ground. Now his blood guided his journey to the mansion, dripping down his hand and onto the floor. 

She could hear and feel their shock and anger in the air as they all watched, bewildered at the sight and of Reena who walked besides him, her head hanging low in a mixture of shame and sadness. 

"Idu hege sambhavisitu?" the crowd murmured amongst themselves and suddenly a man ran in screaming.

(How did this happen?)

"Hey Adheera Innu badukiddane" the man screamed and immediately panic struck the crowd, the initial shock morphing into pure terror.

Some even cried in fear and Vanaram gave Reena a shocked look as they walked in. She slowly nodded, giving him all the confirmation needed that what they were saying was true. 

Rocky was brought to Reena's room as it was the biggest room in the house and the small doctor began treatment on him. 

Reena stood by the pillar, barely holding it together as she watched the blood pour out of his delicate skin. Though he was asleep, she could see the pain etched onto the lines on his face. 

Unable to watch any longer she ran out the room. Vanaram and Rajendra watched as she ran out and exchanged each other a worried look as they both exited, following her to Rocky's room. 

"Reena, what has happened? We dont understand anything" Rajendra said to her who sat on the edge of the bed, her head in her hands.

"Adheera, he's back for KGF. But firstly he knew you were in KGF, that's why he decided to come now" Vanaram said and Reena looked up at him, nodding. 

"He knew that i would come before Rocky. He was going to use me to blackmail Rocky but it didn't work. But just as things were going well he pulled this stunt" Reena cried and Rajendra soothingly rubbed her back, trying to calm her down.
