"Take your time." Fernando reassured me. Alejandro nodded and gave me a thumbs up, a felt my lip twitch upwards.

"Okay, so I was...."

Should I tell them everything or just half the truth? I do trust them, well the ones who've shown me nothing but kindness. The others... not so much. At least Kendall isn't here anymore.

I took a deep breath then started again.

"I can't remember everything from my childhood because of Mei. But what I do remember is she was a good eomeoni (mother) in the beginning. From birth till I was 5 years old, the age I was taken."

"She was cheating on appa with Demetrius, her fucking boyfriend. I walked in on them when everyone was out. That's the first time Demetrius slapped me, great first impression." I rolled my eyes.

"Mei defended me and told him that I wouldn't tell anyone. I was naive and listened to her. Then a few days after the incident she ran away to be with him and took me with her."

Everyone was shocked at the revelation.

"She cheated?!"

"But she loved Leonardo."

Zio Matteo and Zia Valentina said at the same time. Maybe she loved appa once but as soon as Demetrius came along she just couldn't close her legs.

"We traveled to Russia first cause Demetrius stayed there. He hated me and always took any chance to turn Mei against me. Which unexpectedly didn't take long."

"He convinced her to take me to one of his family's boarding schools. She agreed not knowing the 'boarding school' was an institution."

"More specifically an assassin institution. That's how I became the world's youngest assassin, I was the youngest in that place. They were ranked from age and how skilled. The ages were from 12 to 18 so people were surprised to see a 5 year old."

I looked up to see their reactions. Shock was written on everyone's faces, I looked back down to continue.

"I spent 3 years in the institution, no holidays. Demetrius told them to give me punishments if I wasn't good and not to go easy on me. I didn't even get to see Mei and I really missed her and wished I could go back. Big mistake. They did allow me to go see her, she was with Demetrius in South Korea then."

"She changed. She was an alcoholic and did drugs, she was angry and not herself. The night I came back was the night she first hit me. And not just a slap but full on black and blue."

"The abuse lasted for 2 weeks until I had to go back to the institution. But instead of doing the regular jobs like the other assassins, they moved me. They told me I was now a part of a top secret plan, only met for the girls."

"They wanted to make the perfect warriors or assassins. Since women are viewed as vulnerable and weak to the outside and underground, you'd never expect a woman to end your life."

"They trained us day and night. Punished us if we defied them, made sure we had the perfect body to seduce men and/or women, use our knowledge and become strategic. They put us through all types of situations and scenarios, like what if we were deserted in the middle of the ocean or desert for days or even months. I had to go through all this and still go home and get abused by Mei and Demetrius."

"I got my first period at 11. They said my body was now mature enough for a 'better' punishment. It wasn't even the fucking perverted trainers or medics, Demetrius did it personally himself."

I heard a loud sob and looked up to see halmeoni gripping onto hal-abeoji for dear life. Her head was buried in his chest and he was hugging her. Everyone in the room had tears in their eyes.
