Abraham hit the road, headed south and set up camp between Kadesh and Shur, then rolled into Gerar for a bit. Abraham pulled the old "she's my sister" line about Sarah, and Abimelech, the king of Gerar, was like, "Cool, she's mine now."

But God slid into Abimelech's DMs at night with a dream, like, "Bruh, you're basically toast for taking another dude's wife."

Abimelech, who hadn't made a move, was like, "Yo, God, you gonna wipe out innocent peeps too? Didn't he say she was his sis? And she even backed it up saying he's her bro. I was all innocent here."

God was like, "I know you're clean, so I stopped you from messing up with me. That's why she's off-limits. So, do the right thing and give the dude back his wife. He's got a direct line to me, and he'll sort you out. If not, it's game over for you and your crew."

Abimelech got up super early, spilled the tea to his squad, and they were all shaking in their boots. Then Abimelech called Abraham out, "What did we ever do to you, making you bring this curse to us? You've done us dirty." Abimelech was like, "What were you thinking?"

Abraham said, "I figured this place had zero chill for God and you'd off me over my wife. But legit, she is kinda my sister—same dad, different mom. Then she became my plus one. When God had me wandering, I told her to keep up the 'he's my brother' act to keep me safe."

So Abimelech hooked Abraham up with sheep, oxen, servants, and gave Sarah back. And was like, "My place is your place, pick wherever you want to crash."

Abraham had a chat with God, and God fixed things up for Abimelech's fam, so they could have kids again.

'Cause God had put a lockdown on the baby-making department in Abimelech's house over the whole Sarah situation.
