Since meeting Ari, Shigeo has found himself feeling a bit lighter and even happier than he once was. It's amazing what a single friend can do for his emotions, and he finds himself not getting stressed out as easily since they've started walking to and from school together. It's also a plus that she knows the responsibility of being a psychic - though he has far more experience than she does.

According to the text she sent him, the boy that was acting very oddly towards her at school was possessed by an evil spirit that feasted on his loneliness. Thankfully, she and her master were able to exorcize it and the boy is now safe and sound, although he was rather tired after the whole ordeal. It makes him happy to know that her training is going well.

After a particularly grueling workout session at the body improvement club that makes his arms feel like jelly, he walks towards the Spirits and Such Consultation Office. He's pretty thankful that Reigen hasn't called him over the phone last minute as of lately, so he's only been coming in when he's "scheduled," so to speak. It gives him more time to focus on the club and with his friendship with Ari.

He wonders if he should ask her to hang out over the weekend... but the thought of her saying no makes him nervous.

"She's not gonna bite you, you know," Dimple speaks, as if he's able to read his mind. "If anything, she's one of the only people that looks past your inability to read the room, so I think you're in the clear."

He shrugs, unsure of what to make of that. He's very well aware of his own social awkwardness, and it's something he's trying (but failing) to improve. But Ari doesn't seem to mind at all. She's even a bit similar to him in that regard, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. She's chatty when she's comfortable, and he's quiet... all the time. She's very expressive, and he's not at all. But they make it work.

He opens the door to the Spirits and Such building and lets himself inside just like he usually does. "Mob!" Reigen's panicked voice makes him flinch. He doesn't have much time to react before he's grabbed by the shoulders and shaken rather roughly. "We have a problem! A really, really big problem!" He exclaims. The pure alarm in his voice concerns him.

"W-What's going on?" He asks, his own hands coming to rest on Reigen's in hope that it'll make him stop shaking him. He doesn't want to get sick. Thankfully, his efforts seem to pay off, since Reigen releases him and goes to his desk. He plucks what seems to be a magazine off of it and begins rifling through the pages.

He opens it to a particular page and shoves it in his face, making him retract his head a little bit. There is an article about Snowdrop Psychic Mediums, the place that Ari works for and her master owns. "Seasoning City's Newest Addition Stuns In Most Recent Assignment," the title reads. He blinks and looks up at Reigen. "That's nice."

"Nice? Nice?!" Reigen scoffs as if he said the most ridiculous thing in the world. He throws the magazine back onto the desk, throwing his hands up in an exasperated manner. "Are you an idiot, Mob?! This is horrible for the business! With more rivalry businesses means less customers - " He stumbles over his words for a moment. "I-I mean, people to help! Don't you understand?!"

Shigeo falters a little bit. That doesn't sound like the best thing in the world, but wouldn't it be better to have more people that can help those in need? It's not as if they could solve all the world's problems just on their own. They're only two people. "But that might be a good thing, master. It means more people are getting help for their problems."

"How naive! You just don't get it!" He whines like a petulant child, burying his face in his hands. "We were here first, so why are they taking business away from us? It's just not fair!"
