This is bad.

It seems like nothing is able to work with casting Mogami out of Minori's body. Not his own powers, nor Ari's tendrils. He looks over at her, his heart aching. He can see that she's trying to keep it together, but the cracks of her fear are showing. He's never seen her look so fragile until this very moment.

The other psychics have come up with an idea. Referencing his master's technique of simply knocking Shoudou out in order to exorcize him, they're going to try to do the same thing. It's a suicide mission through and through.

"If we don't do something, the client is going to die as well. We can talk about ethics later," one of them states.

The group approaches "Minori," clearly trying their best to intimidate her despite being shaky. "Evil spirit, we ask you to either leave the girl's body, or we will hurt you until you leave the body. Choose wisely."

"There've been a lot of deadly accidents in the past with this type of exorcism," Shinra frets. "It gets buried and labeled as rumors, but... is this what we're going to witness right now?"

"If they're not careful, they're going to kill her," Reigen says.

Shinra furrows his brow and steps forward. "Leave it to me. I used to be the vice president of the Sumo Club in elementary school," he proclaims, approaching the crowd in order to try to keep them from going through with their plan. He clears his throat and calls out to them. "Hey, you! Drop that thing right now!"

Apparently, it's not taken very well. The leader of the bunch swings his staff, clocking him right in the head and knocking him out. "Don't interfere with the exorcism, you moron!"

"Minori" giggles in delight at the display, seeing how everyone is practically devouring each other in order to get to her. He's realizing that they can't let this keep going. The more time they waste, the more in danger everyone will be.

"What are you laughing for?" He asks, stepping from the crowd. He doesn't try to pay any mind to how Ari whips her head around to look at him, her eyes wide in fear. He just has to end it.

"Say goodbye. You're leaving." He gathers all the psychic energy in his body and shoots it forward, sending it through Minori's body. He can see his spirit leave her body through her back... but it gets bigger. And bigger. And bigger, until he can see the malicious grin in a sea of red in the atmosphere.

"What the hell is that?!"

"Get out of her body. Now!" He demands, sending another wave of psychic energy in an attempt to exorcize him once and for all. But before it hits, the spirit shoots right back into Minori's body.

The dust settles, and "Minori" is still left standing, her face being disfigured into something inhuman. He failed.

"Master... I just made everything worse."

"Are you saying that he's stronger than you?"

He nods.

"T-That can't be true!" Ari steps forward, her eyes wide and pleading. "You're the strongest psychic here! There's no way that you can't take him down, Shigeo!"

Normally, he would have been flattered at her words. But the truth of the matter is that this spirit is too much for him in this sense, even if she has a lot of faith in him.

"Haha! That's really all you've got, kid?" "Minori" cackles before jumping into action, pummeling the psychics that come his way with no mercy whatsoever.
