[Author's Note: Happy birthday to Shigeo! His birthday was yesterday, May 12. Ari showered him with lots of kisses.]

Heartbreak, for lack of a better term, is a bitch.

It was incredibly hard for Chizuru to begin moving on after the Student Council president couldn't even respond to her confession in words. But, with the help of her friends and her family, she feels like she's started to take some steps in that direction, even if it's been difficult. He was the first person she ever had a crush on, after all.

Haru, unsurprisingly, has started to hate him even more than she did previously. She often calls him a "spineless coward" instead of a "raging asshole" now. Even Takuya and Kaede have begun to say things that are similar. Kei and Ari are more mindful of talking about him in front of her, but they might feel the same as the others.

Even though he hurt her, it still bothers her to hear her friends insult him. It bothers her even more to hear her brother do it, too. But, thankfully, her dad keeps his mouth shut and simply tries to reassure her that even if he didn't feel the same, it doesn't mean that she will not find someone that will.

School will be back in session soon. The entire country shutting down because of Claw coming out of the woodwork trying to take control of the world led most establishments to be shut down until the problem was resolved. Ari, thankfully, is home safe and sound. She's already gotten her a gift to commemorate her safety for when Monday comes.

And while she's excited about returning to school and being able to see her friends again, she's a little worried about seeing Shinji again. She's been avoiding him after everything. She understands now that he never appreciated her presence as much as she hoped. If anything, she probably just embarrassed him around people he wanted to look good for. So she's kept her distance.

Maybe she should just act like he doesn't exist like she was doing before everything went to hell.

She's playing on her phone when there's a knock on her door despite it being open. "You decent?" Jiji asks from just outside of her room, and she rolls her eyes playfully.

"Yes, I'm decent. It wouldn't be open if I wasn't," she says in turn, giving him a little grin as he walks in.

"Y'know, just 'cause you got your heart broken by that dweeb doesn't mean you get to be a smartass with me," he teases her playfully. He tosses her a bright pink baseball glove, which she catches. "Come out front with me. I wanna practice."

"I wish you would stop calling him that..."

"I'll stop calling him that when he stops being a dweeb. Asshole deserves it for hurting my sister."

They go to the front yard and begin tossing the baseball back and forth. Naturally, Jiji is a whole lot better at it than her, and he makes sure to tease her every time she's unable to catch the ball or when she pitches weakly. "What, are you really that scared of breaking a nail?" He jokes.

"You know how expensive these nails can get!" She protests.

"Oh, of course I do. I'm the one that picked your last design, remember?" He grins. "Got ya to do the typical gyaru cheetah nail art. I think it suits ya real nice."

"You think so?" She asks, looking at her nails with a soft smile. It makes her really happy to know that her family supports her fashion style, even when the majority of the people around her don't.

... including Shinji.

"Yeah. You've been nothing but a gyaru your entire life. I can't imagine you being anything other than you," he smiles. "Chiitan, my silly gyaru little sister that can't throw a ball for shit."
