"What's up with him?" Jin muttered, eyeing Taehyung, who was practically tearing through the dorm, shuffling through clothes as if his life depended on it.
The others were scattered around the dining area, lazily enjoying their rare day off. Breakfast was a laid-back affair, with Jin sipping his coffee, while Jimin picked at his food, and Jungkook was scrolling through his phone.
"Where's my blue shirt?" Taehyung’s voice drifted in from the hallway, sounding both determined and a little desperate. Moments later, he walked into the dining area, his usually neat hair mussed, resting loosely on his forehead.
"Blue shirt?" Jin chuckled, setting down his coffee. "Since when are you this worked up over clothes?"
Taehyung ignored the question, his eyes still scanning the room as if the shirt might materialize out of thin air. "I just need it, hyung."
The rest of the members exchanged curious looks, a few snickers slipping out. "Did he finally agree to a blind date?" Jimin joked, nudging Jungkook, who chuckled in response.
"No way! He’s been glued to his room these days," Jungkook added with a smirk. "This is, like, a first."
Jimin raised an eyebrow, looking amused. "What’s so special about today? We don’t even have a schedule."
Taehyung hesitated, adjusting his hair in the window’s reflection before mumbling, "I just...I have some things to take care of."
The other members exchanged glances, barely suppressing their laughter. "Things to take care of? Or someone?" Jungkook grinned mischievously, nudging Jimin.
Taehyung shot him a look, but there was no hiding the faint blush creeping up his neck. "Just drop it, alright?" he muttered, attempting to sound annoyed. But Jin wasn't about to let him off the hook so easily.
"Aha, so it is someone," Jin teased, his smirk widening. "Care to tell us who’s got you all dressed up for once?"
" Yea so what, now does anyone know WHERE IS MY BLUE SHIRT " he asked again, digging through the laundry basket for the third time.
" Haven't seen it," Jin said, keeping a straight face.
"Yeah, hyung, no idea where it went," Jimin chimed in, feigning innocence as he took a casual bite of his toast.
"Are you sure you didn't misplace it?" Namjoon added, trying to hide his grin behind his coffee cup.
Taehyung shot them all a suspicious look, narrowing his eyes. "You guys are the worst," he muttered, heading for the living room in defeat.
Just then, he stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening as he spotted Jungkook sprawled on the couch... wearing his blue shirt, scrolling on his phone
"Jungkook!" Taehyung practically yelled, exasperated. "Are you serious? That’s my shirt!"
Jungkook looked up, feigning complete surprise. "Oh, is it? My bad, hyung," he said with a sly smile. "It just looked so comfy, you know?"
The rest of the members burst into laughter, unable to keep up the act any longer. Jin reached over to pat Taehyung’s shoulder, chuckling. "Looks like you’ve been outsmarted, Taehyung."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, trying to look annoyed but failing as a smile broke through. "Fine. You can just keep it " he said as he went back to his room grumbling through the closet for the hundredth time
A few minutes later, Taehyung emerged from his room, looking effortlessly stylish in his casual outfit, the beige shirt fitting him perfectly. His hair was styled, with a few strands falling perfectly on his forehead, giving him that effortlessly cool look. He adjusted the mask over his face and glanced around, searching for his car keys.
Jin leaned back, folding his arms as he watched Taehyung. “At least have some breakfast before you rush out.”
“No, hyung, I’m already running late,” Taehyung said, slipping into his shoes without slowing down.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Hyung, is it… a date with Jennie noona?” he asked, his tone playful yet genuinely curious.
Taehyung paused, his eyes crinkling above his mask as he flashed a grin that was unmistakable, even with half his face covered. “Maybe,” he replied, voice light with excitement, before heading for the door.
As the door clicked shut behind him, the members exchanged knowing glances, amusement twinkling in their eyes.
Jimin chuckled, nudging Jin. “Look at him, all dressed up. I can’t remember the last time he was that excited to leave the dorm.”
" I just hope, things get better between them " j-hope said
Jin shook his head, smiling fondly. “Let’s just hope he remembers how to talk and doesn’t turn into a statue when he sees her.”
Jungkook laughed. “Bet he practiced in the mirror at least five times before leaving.”
Namjoon smirked. “Knowing Taehyung, he’s probably got a playlist ready just to set the mood.”
The others laughed, picturing their friend nervously trying to play it cool. They all knew Taehyung had been through a lot and deserved this—deserved to be happy, even if he was fumbling his way back into it.
A/N : A short chapter, just wanted to add some fillers with the members. I kinda missed them bickering 😆
