"Are you going to keep pouting, or are you going to tell me what is upsetting you?"

"Baba...I don't like him anymore."

You are shocked by Tetisheri's sentence because Tutankhamun has been nothing but a dotting father to her.

But again, maybe your husband scolded her, that's why she is upset.

"Can you tell why?"

"We haven't left the palace in months, and playing in the garden is boring."

Tetisheri mentions that Tutankhamun only allows you both outside into the garden, which never occurred to you.

"I will discuss this matter with your father, I'm sure he will be more than happy to allow us out, he is just worried about our safety"

This is just an excuse, you know that Tutankhamun is not only worried about your and his daughter's safety...there must be something else.

Adding to this, 'Allow you out' is something you never thought you would say.

Why would you need the permission of your husband to go out?

"You know what?...how about we both go out on our own, but we have to disguise ourselves well so nobody recognizes us."

Tetisheri's eyes brighten up before nodding quickly in happiness.

You will be back before sunset, as this is the time Tutankhamun usually comes to check on you.

It's not like he is going to hurt you if you both get caught.

Right?

"This is so nice."

Tetisheri says after she finishes eating the kahk you bought for her.

"I shouldn't have let you eat twelve pieces all alone." you tease her with a smile.

"Why?" She asks in confusion.

"Because of diabetes."

"Oh, you mean honey-piss? No worries I won't eat too much from now on."

The word 'Honey-piss' makes you raise an eyebrow.

"Honey-piss."

Tetisheri nods at you before beginning to explain.

"Yes, Mama, Heqet once told me that her father has Honey-piss; it's what ancient Egyptians call diabetes."

"Wow, I don't even want to know how they found out it tastes like honey." You say with disgust.

Tetisheri giggles, shaking her head in disapproval.

"They found out it's sweet because ants used to gather around the piss of the diseased person."

You look to your left side to see a man with copper red hair and wheatish tan skin.

"Why are you listening to our conversation?"

You ask nervously, pulling the white scarf over your head to hide more of your face while tightening your hold on your daughter's hand.

"Because as commander of the Egyptian army, I should know if someone is conspiring against the pharaoh."

His response was more than enough to make you realize who he is.

Seti, father of Ramesses I, will later become a vizier to his son during his rule.

"Are you a descendant of Set?"

Tetisheri's question causes you to feel embarrassed.

"No, why?"

"Because you have red hair, and those with red hair are known for being Chaotic like Set."

How did you forget that Tetisheri is a walking encyclopedia?

"I apologize for her curiosity, but we must get going now."

You grab your daughter's hand, ready to leave.

"I could easily report back to his majesty about you leaving the palace without his permission."

Stopping and turning around, you see Seti smiling at you mischievously.

You narrow your eyes at Seti, your heart pounding. T

The last thing you need is Tutankhamun finding out you sneaked out with Tetisheri.

Matvei is gone, you don't need a second obstacle in your way of happiness.

"You could report us," you say, feigning confidence.

"But you won’t."

Seti arches an eyebrow, clearly amused before asking.

"And why is that?"

"Because Tutankhamun would get angry with me for a while but will forgive me, however, you..."

You point at his chest with your index finger, trying to taunt him but it only increases his entertainment.

"What about me?"

"I could easily remove you from your position; after all, I'm the queen. A few words here and there around my husband could easily ruin you."

You don't care if you sound arrogant.

But you need to set boundaries to prevent anyone from stepping on you.

"Father?"

Ramesses walks forward before standing beside his father.

"Your majesty."

He bows his head towards you in respect, making you smile at him.

"Aren't you going to bow to me too?" Tetisheri demands.

Ramesses only scoffs at her before returning his gaze to his father.

"Shall we go?"

"Mama, he didn't bow his head to me!"

The young girl whines, pulling on your hand as to try and make you do something.

You don't reply.

You don't need to. Instead, you guide Tetisheri through the streets, blending into the crowd.

"That man was rude," Tetisheri grumbles, her small fingers tightening around yours.

"And his son is worse! I will tell Baba to have him punished."

You shake your head.

"No, you won’t, we do not complain about every little thing"

"But-"

"Tetisheri, a queen must know when to strike and when to stay silent."

You pat her head, continuing your advice.

"Be the experimenter not the experiment."
