I pulled up to Kelsey's place in my Range Rover, barely putting it in park before the front door swung open. Noelia was the first one out, tossing her hair over her shoulder like she was about to strut onto a runway. Kelsey followed, slipping on oversized sunglasses even though we weren't even fully in the sun yet. Sydney came last, shoving her phone in her tiny purse, probably finishing some chaotic group chat message.
They slid into my car like they owned it. Kels took shotgun, obviously, because she had called it in the group chat.
NOELIA: "Jesus, Kyler." Noelia sighed dramatically, buckling her seatbelt. "We were about to start charging you for making us wait."

KYLER: "You were barely waiting." I shot back, pulling away. "Plus, all you guys said was that you wanted to go out and to pick you up in 15 minutes. I literally just got out of my gym and I still had to shower."
