School Bus Graveyard

We turned the corner, and more phantoms ran at us. Aiden and Ashlyn jumped at them, attacking them, while Logan pointed the gun down a hallway, in case more came.

"MIKE!" someone yelled. I wearily looked over, seeing the others.

Oh.

The others.

Not that I wasn't happy to see the others, of course! I was just... tired. Besides, I said to myself, maybe when we all get into another safe place... I'll be able to just... sleep...

I blinked, looking up to see Ashlyn and Aiden jumping and attacking the phantoms. The black, gooey faces practically exploded, as Logan stayed pointing his gun down the hallway in case some phantoms ran through.

"Logan," Ashlyn started as she landed on her feet by the fallen phantom. "Go ahead of us and use the card to find a decent room to hide in. Ben, Tyler, Thay, give the others flashlights and guns. Taylor, you're with me. And Aiden-"

The brown-haired mother of the psycho stared wide-eyed at the blonde Mike had in his arms, as did all the other adults. "...what?"

"What's wrong with him?!" Mike rushed, panicked. "Why did he pass out?!"

The ginger only blinked, green eye filled with disappointment. "Nevermind. Just... put him back in the chair. Taylor, help me and Mom keep the phantoms at bay while the others work."

Mike looked around for the other wheelchair, and sighed as he walked over to Tyler and I, who were already sharing one. "Sorry kiddos, I got to get Aiden back onto a wheelchair. Will it be too tight?"

I shook my head, "Nope."

Mike smiled, and set the blonde down to my right, Tyler to my left. As I got comfortable between them, I felt Aiden's head fall onto my shoulder, my head on Tyler's shoulder.

Ben gave the adults flashlights, Tyler handing them to him. I blinked, my eyes not wanting to stay open. A weird tingle spread on my toe, and I frowned, trying to itch my toe in the shoe and failing, rubbing it in the shoe instead. Suddenly, the wheelchair was being pushed, and I saw Mike pushing it. Probably because there were three kids and he was stronger. I mean, it was pretty fast.
