A couple days passed, and I still ate little to nothing. I mean, I still ate a bit of food, but my appetite was low. My triplets didn't love that, but that's okay. They can't force feed me.
I shifted from where I laid on the cold, stiff mattress. My stomach was yelling at me every second almost. Maybe I could just drink some water?
With a grunt, I held my searing stomach (even though my whole body truly hurt), and stumbled into the bathroom, leaning on the sink. I almost winced at my reflection. My cheeks were bony, and my eyelids were low, the brown irises not shining as they usually did. Dark bags waved from under my eyes, and I gripped the sink. My eye bags were still there. I chuckled, a trembling hand grasping the right metallic lever and pulling it towards me. With a squeak, water poured out of the faucet, and I cupped my hands under it, tossing water onto my face.
