Taylor nodded. "I think we should just say screw it. I mean, either way, our options suck, right? At least this way though, we're together."

"I agree," Logan said, rubbing the back of his head. "It's too risky to assume this isn't real anyways. We should definitely look into it... but continue to treat this as our reality for now."

I nodded, and we sent the entire night going over what we knew and what our options were. After debating for a bit, we all agreed to snoop around the building...

... and find out what the hell is going on in this place.

So far, no one has told the facility what the "hallucinations" consist of, so we still have an advantage. And we were going to exploit that as much as possible. For example, we can figure out the layout of the facility during the night.

Although, some of the doors can't be accessed by the card we got from Alex, so we have to search through rooms for cards.

Or, the others are searching for cards. Me, Tyler, and Aiden are stuck looking over the documents the others found. Because we're "too injured to help", or so Ashlyn said.

I sighed, fingers slowly making their way across the keyboard. I shifted on the stiff bed. "This. Is. Dumb."

Aiden groaned, falling onto his side dramatically. "I can't do this anymore. I'd rather die again."

"Don't joke about that, idiot," Tyler snapped, looking through the documents on the computer he had. "Especially after what Ashlyn told us."

I heard keys clacking again, and came to the conclusion that Aiden was typing yet again.

"I don't feel any different though? Personality wise, anyway."

I clicked onto another tab, watching Youtube shorts instead. What were they going to do if I didn't go over government documents that could have a bunch of information that could help us escape? Send me to detention or whatever?

Aiden jerked up, making me jump. "Guys- I found something."

Tyler and I leaned over Aiden's shoulder, but my whole body ached so I just decided to rest my chin on his shoulder instead. Tyler sighed, "What is it? I swear, if it's another meme you made because you're bored I'll-"

Tyler's eyes widened, and I fumbled as I grabbed the walkie talkie. "Guys... our parents are here."

So they are lying to us? Ashlyn said that Alex said they weren't here?

But one thing's for sure. We can't trust these people.

My door opened, and I jerked into a sitting position, grimacing as I gripped my aching ribs. Alex came in, and I raised an eyebrow as he handed me a hair tie. As soon as I tied up my hair, he put a weird head band on me that looked like I was being used in an experiment. Which I probably was, because two men came in through my door in all black.

Men in Black???

I almost laughed at that.

I'm not even that funny.

Anyways.

"What's going on?" I asked as they led me out. Alex didn't follow.

Maybe Ash was right. We can't trust anyone.
