The snarling of the dead was the only sound Riven could hear, followed by whispers. His arm was being held by Alpha in a very tight grip that would surely leave a bruise. He was covered in walkers' blood since he refused to wear their dead skin as a mask.
His hands were tied in front of him now, and Alpha was keeping a close eye on him, making sure he didn't pull anything like he did last time.
Alpha didn't know that Riven was just leading her to an unknown place, far away from where the girls actually were. If Alpha really thought he was about to just give up Lydia and Madi just like that, well, she was stupider than he thought.
"..where are they?" Alpha whispered, tugging Riven closer, her eyes boring into his, her grip on his arm because tighter, her nails digging into his skin.
Without making a sound, Riven pointed to his left with a small grin on his face. He gestured for her to continue walking, but she didn't. "Liar." She whispered, almost like a hiss. "Where are my daughters?"
Riven leaned closer, leaning down a bit to be eye level with Alpha. "Where you can't find them." A smirk appeared on his face as he stood up straighter.
Alpha clenched her jaw, her eyes full of anger. She pulled Riven with her as she began to walk in a different direction than the herd was heading.
There were whispers, but Riven wasn't really paying attention to the whispers nor where Alpha was leading him. His mind drifted towards his kids. He hoped they made it to the cabin safely.
He knows Mercury and Madi can handle themselves, but he still worry. He hoped Reagan was on his way to them. If he makes it out of this, which he doubts, but if he makes it out, he needed to apologize to Reagan for everything and for what he said.
It made it difficult for him to die when he and Reagan were fighting. He couldn't leave Reagan like that. He missed the days when they didn't fight, and all they did was understand each other without having to say anything.
It was his fault. He knew that. Reagan deserves so much better than him. Shaking his head, he snapped himself out of his thoughts, not wanting to depress himself even further when he might die soon.
Noticing that they left the herd behind, Riven spoke, "So, where are we heading? Another barn?" He joked
"Silence." Alpha demanded. "You have made a fool of me. I will have no one disrespect me like that in front of my people." She tugged on his arm, and Riven stumbled forward, his foot getting caught on a root, tripping, landing on the leaf covered ground with a small grunt.
His brace uncomfortably digging into his leg, and he sat up, scoffing at Alpha. "Thanks for that." He sarcastically said.
He gritted his teeth as Alpha gripped his hair tightly, roughly pulling his head back. "It's such a shame that your death will not be an honorable one."
"Neither was the death of your hair." A hard slap was delivered to his left cheek. He could taste the blood in his mouth, and he laughed, "I'm not sorry, you crazy psychotic bald headed bitch."
"You will be." Alpha told him, turning her head as footsteps approached. Riven raised his hand, waving his fingers with a small smirk.
"Hey, you big puppy," He greeted Beta with a teasing tone. "Been wondering where you been."
Beta grunted, approaching him, roughly grabbing Riven's arm and lifting him up. "What do we do with him?"
