Chapter 7: Don't lose her again

As soon as the words left her mouth and saw how much it truly affected Josie, she wanted to take them back. 

Hope took a step towards Josie, but Josie shook her head and took a step back. “Don't. “ she said with a voice so cold it made Hope’s heart stop beating.

“You don't get to do that. You don't get to be mad at me for moving on, Hope.” Josie said, looking straight into Hope’s eyes. 

“Then go back if you moved on. Go because nobody asked you to come here…”

She was pushing Josie to her limit, and she knew that, but she wanted to hurt Josie. She wanted her to feel the same pain she was feeling. But deep down, she knew she was in the wrong, and before she could stop herself, the words left her mouth.

She walked up to Josie with no emotion showing on her face and said. “And i don't want or need you here, and I as sure as hell never have.” 

She had done it, she had pushed Josie to the end, all it took was one look to know that for the second time, she had broken Josie’s heart.

She looked in her eyes it was the same look she had seen years ago when she told her to leave and never come back. 

Hope wanted to take it back to wrap her arms around Josie’s neck and kiss her, to show Josie that she didn't mean it. To say ‘I love you, and I need you.’ But it was too late.

In the blink of an eye, she was gone. Josie had left. In that moment, Hope fell on her knees as she let her tears fall.

“What have I done?” Was all she could say as she cried, wanting to take it all back.

Josie had just arrived at her apartment, and as soon as she walked in, she began to destroy everything in sight, breaking everything she could, as she screamed.

She walked over to her cabinet and opened a bottle of bourbon, and drank straight from the bottle as she slid down the wall and yelled.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

For the second time, the heart had broken.
