Chapter 18 (We Are A Family)

Alison sat quietly on the plane after refusing any food or drinks or cuddles from anyone on the plane. She sat at the corner, afraid as she has never been flying before, at least not according to her memory. "Will this plane fall and why is that little girl so happy and nice?" Alison kept thinking as she examined Jessie who was in Katy's chair and on Katy's lap. "All the other adults seem to really like her because when she smiles, the adults smiles and comments on how perfect she is. She is really pretty... " Alison kept on thinking. Is this what normal should be?

Katy introduced everyone to Alison but she doesn't really seem to remember their names. All Alison is worried about is Annie. She hadn't seen her since they were separated when they were rescued from her father. Alison has no idea where she being taken to and all she wants is to be with Annie, or at least know that her sister is safe and sound. What if Annie is so hurt that she died? Whenever this thought came across Alison's mind she shudders. She wouldn't know what to do if Annie really died. Will she have to live with these people with a weird way of speaking for the rest of her life?

Alison was staring out the window when Jessie ambushed her. 'Hey Alison! Do you want to play?' She said nicely, handing Alison a Barbie. Instead of taking the kind gesture, Alison stared right through Jessie as if she was a ghost. Katy got fed up with Jessie trying and summoned her back to the seat. 'Jess honey? Come here, I don't really want you to be standing when we might be having problems with air turbulence soon. You can play with Alison later.' Katy said without looking away from her phone.

Jessie ran back to her mother's side and put her seat belt back on. She had learnt her lesson with air turbulence when they were flying to Japan. As Katy was asleep throughout the whole flight, Jessie was bored to death. She tried to play with Tamra but she was also fast asleep. When they were in the air turbulence zone, Jessie fell and banged her head against one of the seats and it hurt a lot for her. "I am not going to go through all of that again..." she thought.

'Mommy why does Alison not want to play with me? Does she not like me?'

'Of course not honey... no one can possibly not like you Jessie. Maybe she's just tired, you can play later when we get home, for now just try to sleep okay?'

'Okay mommy, goodnight.' Jessie said as she closed her eyes.

As they got off the plane, Alison was very shocked that there were cameras everywhere pointing at them and screaming at them. "What do they want with me?" She watched Jessie join hands with Katy while Katy offered the other one to her. "Should I take it?" Katy smiled at her and told her that it's okay and no one is going to hurt her.

'Come on Ali, no one is going to hurt you.' Katy said again, offering Alison her hand.

'Really?' She whispered. 'They are loud.'

'Alison it's fine, it's their job to be loud and they will never hurt you because mommy will get them into really, really big trouble if they do.' Jessie said proudly.

Alison nodded but still refused to take Katy's hand. She followed close by as swarms of paparazzi surrounded them, hoping to get a good shot of Katy and Jessie. It didn't take long until they realised there was a new member to the band, another little girl was there which led to many questions.

'Katy who is she?'

'Guys she's my friend and you are scaring her! She's not used to this!' Jessie screamed before Katy had the chance to react.

'Jessie! How are you?' Screamed the paparazzi. They all loved Jessie as she is one of the very few celebrities who doesn't hate them for scraping into their lives.

'Alison I promise you that you are going to be fine when you are with us. I will never let anyone hurt you again, I am so sorry for what you have been through.' Katy said as they all got into the car.

'But why? Why do you want me? You have the most perfect girl in the world... she's really pretty... why do you want me other than to have me as your servant?' Alison questioned, anxious and hoping Katy will not slap her for being disrespectful.

'Alison you are a gorgeous little girl and you deserve so much more. I want to make a difference in your life, that's why I'm taking you home with me.' Katy explained.

'Alison you are going to be safe I promise you. Can I be your friend?'

'Why would you want to be a friend with me? I'm not like you...'

'We are the same, we're just little girls, and we should have a tea party together later with Mr Waddles and Mr Bunny.'

Alison kept quiet for the rest of the journey and when they finally arrived at Katy's property, she was astonished. "How could any house be so beautiful and big?"

'Welcome Alison, this is your home too from now on. You are a part of us now.'
