'Jessie honey your mommy is going to be alright! We have to go home because it is getting really late. I'll stay and watch your mommy for you, but please just go home with your grandma.' Tamra begged Jessie again after she refused to leave Katy's side. Jessie laid on her mother's chest, angry at herself for letting Alison hurt her. 'Jessie-'
'No. I'm staying with mommy.' She said stubbornly. 'Well darling at least eat something!'
'Grandma I'm not hungry. I want to stay here!'
'Jessie-'
'No!'
'Mary why don't you take Alison home? I'll stay with Jessie here.' Tamra offered, giving up on arguing with Jessie. Jessie was just like Katy. When she had set her mind on something, she will go through with it no matter what. 'Fine.' Mary said, tired of all the arguing for the past hour. 'Jessie please!'
'No Grandma! Mommy needs me!' She cried.
'Don't cry Jessie... non of this is your fault, and you know it.'
'Mommy's hurt because of me, because I didn't protect her from the monster.'
'Jessie-'
'Mary leave it. She's exactly like your daughter, there's no use telling her that.'
'Fine, but just make sure that she is okay... I'll take Alison home first. Alison-' Mary said, turning around to the couch behind her, only to find no one was there.
'Where is she?'
'I thought- oh crap...'
'Please tell me that we did not lose her...'
'I haven't seen her since we got here, we were all way too focused on Katy and Jessie...'
'Katy is going to murder us when she finds out...'
'We have to find her before Katy's wakes up...'
'Just go! I want to be alone with my mommy!' Jessie complained again.
'Okay... promise me that you'll be okay Jessie, promise me...'
'I pinkie promise grandma.'
Tamra and Mary left in a hurry to find Alison as Jessie blamed herself for her mother's injury. 'Mommy I'm so sorry... I'm sorry mommy...' Hours passed after Jessie dozed off in Katy's arms. All of the crying and thinking that she did was very exhausting. Jessie blamed herself for Katy's injury, thinking that if she had stopped Alison from coming home with her, nothing would have happened.
When Katy regained consciousness, she had no clue as to where was. All she remembered was that she was attacked when she was with Jessie. She opened her eyes and immediately noticed Jessie in her arms whimpering and crying in her sleep. 'Mommy I'm sorry... Mommy...Please don't be angry... mommy... I love you... I'm sorry...'
'Oh baby... it's not your fault...' Katy whispered, placing her thumb between Jessie's eyebrows, hoping to ease Jessie's deep frown. For hours Jessie cried and whimpered in her sleep and Katy was about to lose her mind. Her head no longer hurts after a few painkillers but Jessie's whimpers were unbearable. It hurt Katy to see her little girl like this, so frightened, so lost, so scared. She felt responsible for Jessie's suffering and sorry that Jessie had to see her pass out. They both cried for hours, both feeling sorry for hurting each other in different ways.
'Mommy...' Jessie whispered, slowly opening her eyes. Katy had been nudging her daughter softly for the past ten minutes, she couldn't take all the cries anymore. 'Mommy I'm sorry...'
'Jessie it had nothing to do with you... it's not your fault. I'm okay, we're okay...'
'Mommy are you going to die?' Jessie said, tears forming in her eyes once again as she cling tightly to her mother, afraid to lose her.
'No honey... mommy's fine, we'll be going home soon, I'm gonna live. Remember what I told you? Mama bear is really strong and she will never leave her teddy bear alone ever.'
'Really?'
'I pinkie promise Jessie, we're going to be fine.'
----------------------------------------------
'When was the last time that we saw Alison?' Tamra yells, as she and Mary both ran out of the hospital.
'I don't remember! I was holding Jessie as she kept on crying...'
'Did Alison even come with you Mary?'
'I'm pretty sure she did, but to be honest with you I don't even know what I know anymore... all of the crying in the car just put me off my right mind...'
'Why don't I go home and check just in case Alison is at home and you can look around in the neighbourhood?'
'Yeah that is probably a good idea... Go and please call me as soon as you have any updates.' She said frantically before hopping into her car.
Tamra drove like a maniac through the freeway, hoping to get to Katy's home as soon as possible. Losing Alison is probably one of the most stressful thing that has happened to her so far. Tamra couldn't even imagine what Katy is going to say when she finds out that Alison is missing. "At least if we tell Katy about losing Alison after we found her or maybe brush it off until years later it might be less of a nightmare. Katy will surely freak out if she wakes up and realises that Alison went missing." She thought.
Tamra got out her key to Katy's house and pushed the key into the hole with all her might. She turned it and pushed into the house. 'ALISON? ALISON ARE YOU HERE?' She hollered as she ran around the house. After checking every room in Katy's house which took around fifteen minutes. She called Mary as she locked up the house and straight into the car, driving off to the neighbourhood to try and find Alison.
Alison had ran out of the hospital after she got told off by Jessie. She was extremely upset with herself for disappointing Jessie. She had no idea what she can do to fix the damage that she had done to their relationship. She was desperate to let Jessie see that Katy is not someone to be trusted, but right now, all she can do is run away before she makes things worse by letting other adults hear what she has to say. She hated the feeling of not being able to say what she knows but Jessie just wouldn't listen.
Alison kept running until she reached a little alley. She figured that if she hid in a smaller street it minimises the chance of the adults finding her because she cannot afford to be put back into orphanage. She would just have to find a way to survive somehow by herself. She sat down on the cold concrete and buried her head in between her knees. She was absolutely exhausted after running.
'AHHH!' She screamed as someone suddenly yank her hair backwards and slap a hand over her mouth. Before she had the chance to yell again she felt her world spinning, her vision fading... the last thing she saw before she blacked out was a bald man with a smug grin on his face staring into her eyes. 'Oh no...' She thought.
