Once Hitori had figured out her first move, she came up with a plan for the rest of the time they would be training. She had more ideas for moves and carefully structured her time to account for everything she wanted to try. The second day she spent doing moving target practice and working on her earth/air combo. As part of this, she made earth darts and shot them with air bullets. The third day she spent doing more target practice, then she started working on her earthboard.
On the fourth, All Might came by to see everyone's progress. At the time, Bakugo was showing Hitori his new move: AP Shot. It was short for Armor Piercing Shot. He focused his immense power into a single point on his palm and used his other hand to aim.
Hitori stood a few feet from him. She watched as he raised one hand in front of the other, then took a deep breath.
BOOM!
The fierce explosion blasted a hole straight through the rock.
"Yeah!" Bakugo yelled excitedly.
"Damn," Hitori said, eyes wide. "I wonder if my earth shield can tank that."
Bakugo grinned. "Let's find out, loser!"
C-cr-crack!
The top of Bakugo's rock wall he was targeting had suddenly split off from the rest, and was falling through the air. Straight toward an unaware All Might.
"Shit!" Hitori ran to the edge and thrust her hand out. But just before she activated her quirk, she saw a flash of green lightning out of the corner of her eye.
Crash!
Pieces of rock flew through the air, away from the former pro hero. Midoriya landed in the midst of it.
"Are you okay, All Might?!" He asked.
"Yeah, thanks to you."
"Whoa! Midoriya! Where'd that crazy firepower come from?!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"I thought you were all about the punching?" Kirishima asked.
"Oh! These iron soles were Hatsume's idea," Midoriya said. "They give me some extra oomph. I decided to learn some moves from Ida to change my style. But it's nothing I can call an 'ultimate move' just yet."
"No way! You're not giving your kicks enough credit here!" All Might insisted. "It'll serve you well in the licensing game."
Bakugo clenched his hands into fists and growled low in his throat. Hitori frowned at him, but he ignored her.
"That was close, All Might," Aizawa said. "You'd better stand back for now."
"Oh! Yeah..." All might turned and looked up at them. "I'm sorry, young Bakugo!"
Midoriya looked up and made eye contact with Bakugo.
"Tch," Bakugo glared furiously. He spun and slammed an explosion into the ground.
BOOM!
"Watch yourself, All Might!" Bakugo yelled angrily.
Hitori lowered the arm she had used to shield her eyes and frowned. Bakugo was clenching his teeth and his eyes were squeezed shut. He looked like he was in pain.
"Katsuki, are you okay?" Hitori asked softly.
"I'm fine," Bakugo snapped.
Hitori moved to stand in front of him. "No, you're not."
"I said I'm fine!"
"Katsuki," Hitori demanded. "Eyes on me."
He lifted his head and glared at her. "What?"
