A day later, Hitori was back at Nighteye's agency, preparing to go out. She was in normal street clothes consisting of her only pair of jeans and a gray hoodie that she borrowed from Mina. Her black hoodie had gotten torn during the Kamino incident. Since she didn't work much after that, she didn't have enough money for another one. And she was not going to ask Fumiko for help. The woman had already taken over paying for Hitori's phone bill and was supplying her with a food allowance.

Once Nighteye had finished assigning roles to his sidekicks, they left the building and took the train a few stations over. The police had passed on a tip that one of the suspected members of the Hassaikai was on the move. The man had left their headquarters and was now walking through the city. And now it was their job to tail him.

But this time, Hitori was doing part of the tail alone. Nighteye would be following at a distance while she would stay close to the target. She was to inform him if there was an opportunity to corner the man so that Nighteye could use his foresight on him.

From the get-go, it was easy to spot the target. Hitori and Nighteye split up when they caught sight of him so they wouldn't draw attention. The man was halfway down the block at the time. Nighteye crossed the street and stopped at a newspaper stand while Hitori continued forward.

The man turned the corner ahead of her. When she got eyes on him again, he had crossed the street and was walking down the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets. His mouth was twisted into a lazy smirk as if he didn't have a care in the world. He didn't even appear to be on guard. He was easy to follow.

Hitori didn't have to try to stay unnoticed. It was second nature by now. She barely had to do anything to keep a low profile. To everyone else, she was just another girl on the street. But the same was true for that man as well. No one noticed anything different about him either. He was good at disappearing in plain sight.

Unfortunately for him, Hitori was better. She crossed the street and followed him into the mall while looking at her phone with her earbuds in. But she wasn't listening to music. Instead, she was texting Bakugo.

B: What are you doing with Nighteye?

H: I already told you, I can't tell you.

B: You always tell me! Why the hell is this time different?!

H: There's more on the line this time.

H: And Aizawa told me I can't tell you.

B: Screw him I wanna know!

H: Sorry.

B: Dammit Scrappy!

H: Aren't you in class right now?

B: It's break, idiot!

The man stopped in front of a toy store. He scanned the display in the window and reached for the door handle.

Hitori immediately switched to text Nighteye.

H: He just went into a shop called Cherry Pop Toy Shop.

N: Follow him inside.

Hitori slipped her phone into her pocket and entered the toy store. She scanned the store, taking note of where the target was, as well as a Rubik's Cube display. She smiled slightly and walked over to it. Hitori grabbed the mixed-up cube and started to solve it. Meanwhile, the man was meandering up and down the aisles looking for something.

A minute later, the door chime sounded again, announcing a newcomer into the store. Hitori glanced over to see who it was. She was unsurprised to see Nighteye walking in. His eyes quickly scanned the store, then he moved to stand near a display close to the door. He picked up a box and started reading the side.
