When classes were finished the following day, Mina practically dragged Hitori off campus to go to the mall. Her protests fell on deaf ears, and even Bakugo told her to shut up and deal with it. She eventually gave up on arguing and just went along with it. When they reached the shopping center, Mina beelined for a department store.
"We're gonna make your room look so awesome!" Mina said excitedly. "We made a list of things we're going to get you, so you just have to tell us what you like!"
"When did you even have time to do that?" Hitori asked, exasperated.
"Yesterday after you went to study!"
"Oh god."
Mina turned around and swatted Hitori's arm. "Don't be a party pooper!"
"Yeah, seriously dude!" Kirishima put his arm around her shoulders. "We've got you, don't worry about it!"
"But—ow!"
Bakugo had smacked her over the back of the head. "If you say one more goddamn thing about money, I'm gonna blast you back to campus and we'll do this without you!"
Hitori rubbed her head and glared at him. She kept her mouth shut.
"Alright, rugs are first!" Sero said. "That's my specialty!"
Kirishima grinned. "Let's get this thing started!"
"This is so exciting!" Mina squealed.
Hitori shook her head but allowed herself to be pushed toward the rug section of the store.
"Okay, so do you have a favorite pattern?" Sero asked as he started looking through different rug displays.
"People have favorite patterns?"
Kaminari facepalmed. "Seriously, Hitori?!"
"Mine's cheetah print!" Mina said, waving her hand in the air and grinning widely.
"Tch, we know, Pinky!" Bakugo snapped.
"Oh hush!" She put her hands on her hips and leaned forward slightly. "You're just jealous because you don't have a favorite pattern either!"
"What?!"
Kirishima laughed and bumped Bakugo's arm with the back of his fist. "He totally doesn't, I've seen his room. Everything is solid colors!"
"Not everything!"
"Tori, what's your favorite color?" Mina asked.
Everyone looked at her expectantly.
Huh?
Hitori had no idea what her favorite color was. She hadn't thought about that since she was like seven. It didn't matter anyways, she had been planning on picking out all black stuff. It was the easiest color to find, other than white. Plus, her blanket was black afterall.
Before she answered, she made the mistake of glancing at Bakugo.
"Seriously, Scrappy?! You don't know what a favorite color is?!"
"What?!" She exclaimed. "Yes, I do! I just don't know what mine is!"
"Well, what color did you think you were going to pick?" Mina asked.
"Black," Hitori said.
Kirishima and Kaminari's eyes widened. They started smiling as if they were excited about something.
But Sero's smile fell, and Mina's faltered.
"Okay fiiiiiine," She groaned. "But you have to pick a color from the rainbow too!"
