AN: I'm back! Before moving forward I would like to give a heads up, new chapters will almost definitely be posted around 4:30 MST. Quick explanation, I have blue eyes and blonde hair and I model my characters after myself because I'm that type of person, so the way to differentiate users of the Dew Circle is by their eyes. You'll see. Anyway, as always I appreciate feedback, constructive criticism, and just overall comments. Also I am a huge Percy Jackson fan, I'm on Mark of Athena just for reference. You'll get why I said this soon. Enjoy!
It had been three months since that conversation. They had come no closer to finding Cathy's dog and Elizabeth had been killed while rescuing Eva's daughter, Anne. Or so it seemed. Sigry and Eva could still sense the connection to her. Supposedly the Vala had begun communications with the Druids again. The Soul Rider of the Flame circle would be returning around fall break. The Vala had some up and coming apprentices who would make powerful witches some day. And finally, the Soul Rider of the Dew circle has surfaced and begun work with the Druids. All this happened just that summer. Yet, here Sigry was, at the graves of her two friends who were declared dead after massive man hunts yielded no results, grieving with her ax at her side and no luck finding her friend's dear hound.
"My dear sisters," She said, "me and Eva will not rest until we find you all. I swear upon the River Styx."
"I've never heard that phrase used before," a voice said.
Sigry turned. Standing behind her with two bouquets of beautiful flowers was a blonde haired young woman. She had golden colored rose earrings dangling from her ears that glinted in the sunlight. However her eyes were the most peculiar. They were a sky blue with cloudy white areas almost like the afternoon sky. She wore a light purple dressage jacket and vine green riding pants. Her boots were a shiny black.
"They were huge fans of Greek mythology." Sigry said.
"You were their Lightning sister weren't you? And you have evidence they are alive right? You just need to find Catherine's dog?" Kamilla said.
"Yes, how did you know?" Sigry said.
"Rania told me a few days ago about a meeting you had with Elizabeth and someone who I can assume was your star sister." Kamilla said.
"I should have known my daughter would tell her girlfriend about that." Sigry said, smiling.
Kamilla placed the flowers down on the graves.
"I want to help in some way but I'll be busy soon with work and school. The best way I can help is let you take Soulheart and my best tracking dog to help find them." Kamilla stated.
"That would be perfect. Can you also lend me a horse? Eva does not have one." Sigry said.
"Yes I'll send Blindchampion, he has a good nose as well as experience with rough terrain should you encounter any." Kamilla said.
"Thank you. We set out again to find Bastion tomorrow. I will stop by to tack up Champ and grab Soulheart and the other pup you send." Sigry said, smiling.
"Bastion's the dog's name?" Kamilla asked.
"Yes, you read her diary, right?" Sigry said.
"Me and Linda restored it before we gave it to Justin. I didn't read through it. Only a few entries." Kamilla said. "However, I don't get it. We all saw her ghost."
"It's the earrings." Sigry responded. "They have a Vala enchantment. Cathy must've somehow had contact with them. Those earrings are connected to her essence. It's said that the soul rider of the Dew Circle can go into a deep coma after receiving a fatal injury and only another Dew Sister's essence can reawaken them. When you put them on you connected your essence to hers, therefore reawakening her. Cathy bought them to give to the next Dew Sister. I'm guessing she was not fully conscious when she contacted you. So she was unaware that you thought she was a ghost."
Kamilla raised a hand to her earrings, "You'll find them. If I get more information I'll talk with you."
"Thank you again, Kamilla." Sigry said.
"Of course. Oh. Talk to Scarlet Dawnprince, she will be able to help you with Justin." Kamilla said, before turning on her heel and walking to the waiting Tenebri stallion. In one quick movement she mounted the purple stallion and spurred him on.
Sigry walked back to her horse. A spruce colored haflinger gelding with big gentle brown eyes and a fluffy white mane (it was supposed to be anyway but it was riddled with burrs and twigs. It was in need of a good combing) appropriately named Spruce.
"Well Spruce, let's get home. I have some research to do about this Scarlet Dawnprince." Sigry said.
"Of course Sigry." Spruce whickered.
His voice was as gentle as a soft cloud when he spoke. It soothed his rider's nerves. Sigry mounted. She didn't even need to tap Spruce before he started trotting in the direction of Mistfall.
