Ah, so it was time.

Byakuya stood up from the awful infirmary bed, finally able to move again. Acting injured was so annoying. It made him so... dependable on other people. Ugh. If only it hadn't been useful to his plans.

But it was. So, he had to carefully walk to the gymnasium, acting like he was still hurt. And while that technically was the case- his neck was bruised a bit now; it sure didn't hurt as much as he pretended it did. He had to keep this act up though, especially when there was quite a big chance of him coming across other students.

"Byakuya." Came a curt voice from behind him. It wasn't laced with the concern or worry he had been subjected to over the past few days but instead was just mildly curious. "How are you feeling?"

The heir turned his head to look at Kyoko, the hiss that escaped his lips out of pain not being fake- turning his head meant pressing into the bruises. "As... well as I can be," He responded, keeping a light edge to his voice.

"That's good to hear," Kyoko said as she moved to stand next to him before continuing to move forward. Byakuya followed her. "Do you have any idea as to why Monokuma has called us here?" She asked, her cold eyes scanning him over.

Byakuya knew he had to be careful here. The reason he hated Kyoko was because she actually had a brain, one she merely used in the wrong way. That was something that could be changed, but for now, it was still dangerous.

"Most likely another motive," He admitted, making a slight frown appear on his face. Right now, it was not a good moment to lie. The more Kyoko trusted him, the better. "I believe he did something like this when he gave us the first motive... and there's no reason for us to be called to the gym."

Kyoko nodded softly at his words. "Another motive," She repeated a slight hum escaping her lips as she did so. "Do you think it'll go the same as last time?" The girl questioned, her eyes still looking him over.

"No," The heir responded in a firm voice, shaking his head softly to go along with it. "I won't let that happen," He continued, telling nothing but the truth. The last murder wasn't all that exciting- sure, it had been amusing, but what more?

This time, Byakuya would try to make sure that it was going to get even better. While it would depend on what motive it was actually going to be, Byakuya had already made plans for all of them.

"Are you sure?" Kyoko tilted her head as she said that. "Or are you just saying that to placate me?"

Byakuya pursed his lips, doing his best not to smirk.

Oh, Kyoko. The poor little amnesiac.

This was absolutely perfect. Obviously, the girl had no idea, but she was walking right into his trap right now. A trap so unassuming, so non-existent that there was simply no way it could actually exist... yet it did.

He turned his head back around again, his gaze on the door in front of them. "Ladies first," He said as he held the door open for her. It wasn't an answer to her question, and he knew that she knew it. Just as he had planned.

And just as expected, the amnesiac didn't say anything in response, merely nodding slightly- a silent gratitude- as she walked through the door. Byakuya followed her, closing the door behind him. They were some of the last ones to arrive, though Makoto was nowhere to be found.

Tsk. Most likely late.

That didn't surprise Byakuya, not at all. However, what was surprising was that somebody else did already arrive- Mondo. The biker was standing against the back wall, arms tightly crossed. It was an attempt at looking unbothered, but one the heir could see through. Even from afar, he could see how rigid Mondo was standing, how his hands were holding onto each other as if his life depended on it.
