It was a rainy day at the Avengers compound, which meant that outdoor play was out of the question. Clint, having been bouncing with energy all morning, looked up at Nat with pleading eyes.

"Play with me, Mama!" he exclaimed, tugging on her sleeve, a grin spreading across his face as he swayed excitedly.

Natasha smiled, patting Clint's head. "Alright, little hawk, what do you want to play?"

"Hide and seek!" he declared, eyes lighting up. "You be the seeker, okay?"

Natasha chuckled, more than willing to entertain her little archer. "Alright, little guy. But you know the rules—only in the common area, okay? And no climbing into the vents this time." She raised an eyebrow, recalling his last "genius hiding spot" that had resulted in him getting stuck for almost an hour.

"Got it, Mama!" he agreed eagerly, rocking back and forth with anticipation.

Nat closed her eyes and began counting aloud, giving Clint a moment to scramble away in search of the perfect hiding spot.

"One... two... three..." she called, peeking just a little bit and chuckling as she watched Clint tiptoe around, his giggles barely contained. He ducked behind a large armchair, thinking it was a clever spot despite his tiny sneakered feet sticking out.

"Nine... ten! Ready or not, here I come!" Natasha announced, a playful grin on her face as she began to search the room.

"Oh, where could my little hawk be?" she mused aloud, feigning confusion as she walked around the room. She peered behind the couch, checked under the table, and even opened a few cabinets.

She could hear Clint giggling behind the armchair as he whispered to himself, "She'll never find me!"

Nat smiled, deciding to play along a bit longer. "I don't see him anywhere... Maybe he went to the kitchen?" She took a few loud steps toward the kitchen, letting Clint think she'd been totally fooled.

Just then, she spun around and swooped behind the chair, gently grabbing Clint's shoulders.

"Gotcha, little hawk!" she said, laughing as Clint squealed in delight.

He bounced on his toes, looking up at her with pure joy. "I was so sneaky, Mama!"

"You were! But you've got to work on hiding those little feet," Nat teased, giving him a playful nudge. "Ready for round two?"

Clint nodded eagerly, already plotting his next hiding spot.
