School Hallway
Third person POV
The school hallway with students rushing to their next class.
Thyron Lu Sebastian leaned against his locker, his gaze fixed on the bustling crowd.
He wasn't really paying attention to the chatter around him;
his mind was preoccupied with Miexha."You're eyes glued to her," his friend, Mark, said, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Stalker ka dude."Thyron scoffed, but he couldn't help but feel guilty.
He knew he was being a bit overbearing, but he couldn't help himself.
Miexha was different.
She was special.
She was everything he had ever known."She's just... different," he mumbled, trying to justify his behavior.
"She's not like the other girls.""Yeah, she's super rich," Mark said, rolling his eyes.
"And she's pretty.
But that doesn't mean you have to treat her like a doll.
Besides, you already have a girlfriend."Thyron sighed, running a hand through his hair.
He knew Mark was right, but he couldn't help but feel protective of Miexha.
He wanted to shield her from the world, to keep her safe from the harsh realities that had always threatened to crush her.
He had always been there for her, since they were children, playing doctor, sharing secrets, and dreaming of a future together.
He knew the situation at her home, the constant pressure and scrutiny, the loneliness she felt despite being surrounded by people. She was always a loner, even in a crowd, preferring her own company and her own thoughts.
He was the only one who truly understood her, the only one who had ever seen her for who she truly was."It's not just that," he said, his voice dropping to a low murmur.
"She's... vulnerable.
She needs someone to look after her."He looked at Mark, his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and determination.
"I know I don't always do the right thing," he admitted,
"But I want to be there for her.
I want to be the one she can rely on."Mark studied him for a moment, his expression softening.
"I get it," he said, placing a hand on Thyron's shoulder.
"You're just trying to protect her. But you know, Aleanna is a great girl, and she really cares about you.""But it's not just about protecting her," Thyron said, his voice laced with a hint of desperation.
"It's about... making sure she's happy. About making sure she doesn't get hurt."He wanted to be the only one close to her, But then Zatariel came along, effortlessly charming, effortlessly successful, effortlessly everything Thyron wished he could be.
He saw the way Miexha looked at Zatariel, the way she seemed to light up in his presence.
It was a feeling he had never been able to evoke in her, and it filled him with a burning jealousy."I know it's messed up," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
"But I can't help but feel like I need to be there for her, to make sure she's happy. Because if she isn't, it's like a part of me is missing. And I can't handle that."He looked at Mark, his eyes filled with a mixture of fear and desperation.
"I know I'm not perfect," he admitted,
"But I can't let her go. I know I have Aleanna, and she's great, but... it's just different from Miexha. I see the way she looks at Zat, and it makes me...
I don't know, I just can't stand it. He always gets what he wants.
And he certainly doesn't have Miexha. And this time, I won't be second. I'll make sure of it.""Second? Me?
He's the one who has always been second-rate.
A pretty face, a charming smile, a good name.
But he's no scientist.
He can't even fathom the depths of my intellect, the brilliance of my vision.
He's just a pretty boy playing at being a genius.
And Exy?
She's too smart to fall for his superficial charm.
She'll see that I'm the one who can truly offer her something meaningful, something real."
Thyron thoughtHe looked back at the bustling hallway, his gaze searching for Miexha.
He saw her standing alone, watching the crowd with a distant expression. He knew he could still control her and He would always be there for her, no matter what.
Thyron's hand trembled slightly as he dialed the number, a nervous energy buzzing beneath his skin.
He was finally doing it, opening his own pet shop, a dream he'd harbored since childhood."Hello Mr. Hamilton," he said, his voice tight with forced confidence.
"The Chimera Corner is now ready to operate."
