The atmosphere in Wayne Mansion was heavy with tension. Despite the supposed clearing of Thyron's name in court by Rickzen Verra, Miexha's father, not everyone was convinced of his innocence.
Even Miexha, who sat silently in her room, seemed detached from the reality of the upcoming wedding.
Her mental state was fragile her once-bright eyes now dim, and her voice rarely heard.
Yet, the wedding preparations pressed on relentlessly.

Thyron paced in his study, his expression unreadable.
The announcement of his pet shop and laboratory's closure due to animal cruelty had caused an uproar.
Kyliah, the investigator who spearheaded the inquiry, had left no stone unturned.
The discovery of disturbing experiments on animals had been enough to shut his operations down, but Thyron had found a way to pivot.

The Zenips had taken an interest in his chimera project.
To them, his grotesque creations were nothing more than amusing “decorations” and “souvenirs” for their royal visitors.
Thyron had no qualms about relocating his work to the laboratory in Amerina, where Zenips’ resources and secrecy would allow his ambitions to flourish.

Meanwhile, in the Green Garden Laboratory, chaos reigned.
The Wolves, together with Jayson and supported by legal authorities, had infiltrated the lab in a daring raid, successfully dismantling key operations.
The Zenips’ Alpha clones, once the pride of their experiments, had been reduced in half, forcing the royals to reassess their plans.

Damian, who had been working in secret, had subtly guided the Wolves to the lab's weak points. His allegiance to the Zenips remained a facade, a delicate balancing act between loyalty and sabotage.
He had hoped the Wolves’ raid would slow the Zenips’ momentum, but the royal siblings remained unfazed.

“The damage is regrettable,” Damian’s sister, the younger royal, had remarked casually,
“but we have Thyron’s chimeras to look forward to. They’ll make perfect trophies for the visitor’s arrival. Damian, you should visit Amerina and oversee the project. You can bring the girl along with you”

Damian clenched his fists, his anger barely contained.
He had seen Thyron’s chimera prototype monstrous fusions of different animals, some still alive, their bodies twisted beyond recognition.
Each was a testament to Thyron’s depravity and the Zenips’ disregard for life.

“I’ll ensure the project progresses smoothly,” Damian said through gritted teeth, bowing slightly to hide his disdain.

Back at Wayne Mansion, Miexha sat by her window, staring blankly at the sprawling gardens below.
The preparations for her wedding were in full swing, but she felt like a ghost trapped in her own life. Her father, Rickzen, had insisted on the marriage, claiming it was necessary for the Verra legacy.

Thyron’s access to Wayne Academy as her husband would secure their influence, but Miexha couldn’t shake the feeling of being a pawn in a much larger game.

A soft knock on her door broke her reverie. It was her sister Diannah.

“Exy, can I come in?”

Miexha nodded faintly. Diannah entered, her expression a mix of concern and determination.

“I know you don’t like Thyron,” Diannah said gently,
“and honestly, neither do I. But I need you to hold on a little longer. We are closing in on his operations. We’ve already taken down the Green Garden Laboratory, and Mr. Hamilton is in jail. His trial is underway, and we’re gathering evidence to bring Thyron down too.”

Miexha’s gaze shifted slightly, her lips parting as if to speak, but no words came out.

Diannah knelt beside her.
“You’re stronger than you think, Exy. I promise, we won’t let him get away with what he’s done. Just... stay safe. We need you to help us end this.”

Miexha nodded, a flicker of resolve returning to her eyes.

In Amerina, Thyron’s work had resumed with disturbing efficiency.
The Zenips had provided him with advanced technology and an endless supply of resources, enabling him to perfect his chimera creations.
The laboratory was a grotesque gallery of experiments hybrids of animals and Zenips DNA, some with glowing eyes, others with unnatural appendages.

One chimera, in particular, caught the attention of the royal siblings.
It was a towering beast, part feline, part reptilian, with scales that shimmered like liquid metal and claws sharp enough to slice through steel.

“This one will make a fine centerpiece for the visitor’s arrival,” Thyron said proudly, gesturing toward the creature.

Damian, who had arrived to oversee the project, suppressed a wave of nausea.
“It’s impressive,” he said flatly, his mind racing with plans to sabotage the project.

As Thyron and the Zenips celebrated the progress, Damian silently wanted to dismantle everything Thyron had built.
The clock was ticking, and the war was far from over.
