Miexha Verra
Her Pov
I tried to pull Ron away, but he was too strong, too focused on his target.
"Ron, please, stop!" I screamed, my voice hoarse with desperation.
But Ron didn't hear me.
He was lost in a world of rage, his eyes burning with a hatred that I didn't recognize.
He landed a blow on Riel's stomach, sending him crashing to the floor."Riel!" I cried, rushing to his side.
He coughed, his face pale, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
"Mimi, get out of here," he gasped, his voice weak but determined.
I looked at Ron, his eyes gleaming with a chilling satisfaction.
I had to do something, anything, to stop him."Ron, please, Tama na!" I screamed, my voice shaking with terror.
"Just leave! Alis!"But Ron just laughed, a chilling, mirthless sound that sent a wave of fear through me.
He leaned down, his face inches from Riel's."You're lucky she's here," he hissed, his voice dripping with venom.
"But next time, you won't be so lucky."He stood up, his eyes fixed on me. "And you, Miexha Verra," he said, his voice a low growl.
"Akin ka. And I'm not going to let anyone take you away from me."He turned and walked away, his footsteps echoing in the silence.
I looked at Riel, his face etched with pain.I gasped, seeing Marie rushing towards us, her hand flying to her mouth in shock.
"Oh my god! Oh Zat!, what the hell happened?" Her eyes darted between Riel, his face pale and bruised, and me, still trembling under the blanket.
She saw Ron's shirt lying nearby, and the evidence of the fight scattered across the floor. Her eyes widened in understanding.
Her eyes widened, understanding dawning on her face.
"Exy, are you okay?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
I shook my head, unable to speak.
The events of the past few minutes replayed in my mind, a horrifying loop of fear and violation.Marie, sensing my distress, knelt beside me, her hand gently resting on my arm.
"It's okay, you're safe now," she whispered, her voice soothing.
"We'll take care of you."I clung to her, my body shaking, my heart pounding.
I needed someone, anyone, to help me escape this nightmare.Marie looked at Riel, her eyes filled with worry.
"Zat, are you alright?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
Riel, his body stiff with pain, nodded weakly.
"I'm fine," he said, trying to force a smile.
"Just a little shaken up."Marie helped Riel to his feet, her gaze never leaving his face.
We left the room, Marie and I escorting Riel to the clinic, our steps hurried and frantic.
The maids in the dorm, their faces blank and emotionless, watched us go.
The security guard, his expression stoic, simply opened the door for us.
They were all complicit.
They knew, but they didn't care.
They were all part of the system, the system that had forced me into this relationship, the system that had silenced my voice.
I looked at Riel, his face pale and drawn, his eyes filled with a mixture of pain and concern.
He was hurt, but he was also willing to fight for me, to protect me.
Why would you do that?We arrived at the Green Garden Clinic, the nurse helped us settle him onto the bed, and I sat beside him, my hand clutching his.
I kissed his knuckles, I can't stop my tears from falling.
I felt his hand on my head, a gentle touch even as he was weak.He smiled at me, whispering,
"I'm ok."My gaze shot up to see Marie standing before me, her expression a mixture of concern and anger.
I quickly withdrew my hand from Riel's and stood up, my heart pounding in my chest.
"I'm s-sorry Marie, I didn't mean-"
She didn't let me finish, pulling me out of the clinic, her grip firm and insistent.
"Let's talk," she said, her voice with determination.
I simply nodded, my body trembling with a mixture of fear and guilt.
