Namwon was a quaint village, filled with colourful signs and cozy decorations but upon their entry, it was eerily quiet. There weren't many people in the streets, actually none in fact, which was weird. Usually small towns were busy, active and lively. It was probably just her luck that the one time she needed people; they had all disappeared to a festival most convenient.
"If you scream kidnapped no one will hear you" Hae-jo whispered in her ear. Hee-won turned her head, their noses inches from each other as she narrowed her eyes, her head tilting and a devilish smirk lined her lips "if I kill you here no one will hear you"
The smile he sent her way was infuriating.
"Come on, I see a store over there'' he said and took her wrist in his hand, much to her dismay and guided them towards the rather small clothing store.
He opened the door for her, the bells jingling overhead as she gathered her jacket in her hands and entered the store. An older woman greeted them, her smile slowly simmering when she noticed the state of the two. Hee-won understood. Hae-jo's hair was curlier than usual, his white shirt stained with dirt and wet, hanging loosely over his muscular frame while Hee-won stood at his side, her hair disarrayed, shirt damp with muddy prints while tightly clutching onto her jacket. They both sent her a wide grins of which she tried to reciprocate and maintain her friendly and professional face.
"Whatever you want" Hae-jo said and Hee-won pulled a face behind his back. She turned to the woman with a friendly smile before eyeing him. This was her chance.
"Would you mind helping me look for something?" She asked the woman, Hae-jo stifled his smirk and continued browsing the racks. The older woman smiled at her, guiding her to an array of dresses, shirts, pants even underwear.
