"You have a beautiful home"

Hee-won expressed, her eyes concealed by the hat perched on her head as she helped Jae-geun tend to his garden.

Hae-jo had disappeared, probably to give the sample to his 'contact' which Jae-geun had kindly offered up.  Jae-geun had insisted he cook a warm meal for the two for their long and tedious journey. Hee-won was honestly touched by the sentiment. It had been a long time since someone had taken the effort to cook them a warm homely meal.  She stood in the mountainous sun, a basket of handpicked vegetables grown from his backyard was held in her arms. She knew the food would be good; it always was when it was home made.

" Really? It can get quite lonely though" he told her. She had her fair share of loneliness.

"Still, they say living in the mountains, eating like this, you could easily live up to a hundred years" maybe that's why she wished she could live her life in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains and clear blue sky.

"We don't know. Your fate isn't determined by the land. The heavens decide when you die" he said and she glanced down at the basket in her hands.

"Well, the heavens can be cruel" she murmured, tightening her hold on the woven basket.

"Don't I know it" he agreed. "When I worked in pharmaceuticals. I had one brain surgery after another. They even said I wouldn't make it" he plucked a handful of carrots from the ground and passed it to her which she placed in the growing pile.
