"That's enough"

Her small round glass of soju was ripped from her drunken hands, placed firm and far on the table nearer to him than her so her greedy hands couldn't grasp it again.  Hae-jo sat  criss-crossed opposite her with an array of food scattered between them. He'd been watching her wordlessly and with a slight frown as she stomached shot after shot, head tilted back and downing it like water.

"You don't drink anyway" he reminded, his elbow on the table and finger pointed to her chest. "Bad for the heart"

"I wish to forget today" she said, her words laden with a tipsy slur as she leaned over to grab the bottle instead. There was a painful discomfort in her chest, but the burning of the soju nulled the fire for a while and had already begun soothing her aching bones. Her cheeks had a rosy flush beneath the yellow tinted lights, pupils sightly dilated as her hand missed the neck of the bottle the first time before she reached for it again with an irritated huff.

" You'll burn a whole in your stomach if you don't eat Hee-won" he chastised, moving the bottle away and sliding a plate of rolled omelettes towards her. When she still made no move or even glanced in its direction, he took her hand in his and placed the chopsticks between her fingers to guide her himself. She scoffed quietly and ripped her hand from his and picked up an omelette while he sat back with satisfied smirk curling at his handsome face.

"You know, it's unbecoming to be rude to a dying man" he tittered with an amused quirk of his lip which only resulted in her throwing a paper towel at him.
