NAYEON'S POV

I was almost to the private elevator when I heard my name.

"Ms. Im."

I froze, then groaned inwardly.

I didn't want to turn around, but I knew who it was.

Hans.

I took a deep breath and kept walking, hoping she'd leave me alone, but it was no use.

She was quicker than I gave her credit for.

Her long legs quickly caught up with mine, and before I knew it, she was at the elevator, her hand reaching out to stop the door from closing.

I groaned in frustration, turning to face her.

"What?!" I snapped.

I didn't care that my tone was sharp.

I didn't care that the people in the hallway were now staring at us.

Behind Hans, the group of employees watching the exchange were practically drooling, their eyes glued to her as she stood there, like some giant, untouchable figure in the middle of the room.

Her presence was undeniable, imposing, commanding. No one could look away.

"What?!" I repeated, raising an eyebrow. I could feel the heat rising again, not from embarrassment, but from frustration.

Why was this happening?

Why was my father doing this to me?

She simply stepped into the elevator with me, her eyes not leaving mine, like she could see right through me.

The doors slid shut, and then she pressed the button to my office. The soft hum of the elevator filled the silence between us, but the tension crackled in the air.

I crossed my arms, glaring at her, my frustration growing by the second.

"If you're looking for a blueprint, it's in the engineering office. Not in my office!" I blurted out.

Hans didn't flinch, didn't break eye contact.

"Yeah, i know." She said casually, her voice smooth, almost playful.

"You're not here just for the blueprint, are you?" I narrowed my eyes.

Her lips twitched into a small smile, but she didn't respond.

Instead, she tilted her head slightly, her eyes softening as she studied me, her expression unreadable.

For a moment, the anger simmering inside me took a backseat to the confusion and strange pull I felt.

What did she want?

Why was she doing this now?

Was this really about the project, or was there something else?

The elevator stopped, and the doors slid open to my floor.

"After you." Hans said, her voice still calm, almost teasing, as if she wasn't in a rush at all.

I didn't go outside. Instead, i stood facing her, my mind racing. But no matter how angry I looked, it felt like Hans was not affected at all.

"What do you want from me?!" I snorted, glaring at her so hard I was sure I could burn a hole through her forehead.

"Do you have coffee in your office?" She asked, not even flinching under my glare.

She was unfazed, while I felt my blood start to boil.
