NO ONE'S POV (Part 2)
"Nayeon-unnie?" Dhayun called after her, but Nayeon didn't stop.
Hans blinked in surprise, her brows furrowing. She stood quickly, setting Haven down gently on Lisa's lap.
"Excuse me." She muttered, following Nayeon outside.
The cool night air hit Nayeon as she stepped onto the front porch, tears welling in her eyes.
She didn't want to cry, not here, not now but the jealousy, the frustration, the sheer helplessness were overwhelming.
She reached her car, fumbling for her keys, when she heard Hans's voice behind her.
"Nayeon!"
She froze but didn't turn around.
"Nayeon, wait." Hans said, her voice softer this time as she approached.
"Don't! Just don't, Hans." Nayeon said sharply, finally turning to face Hans. Her eyes were red, her expression a mix of anger and hurt.
Hans stopped in her tracks, her hands raised slightly as if in surrender.
"What's going on? Why did you leave like that?" She asked oblivious of Nayeon's turmoil.
Nayeon let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head.
"Are you seriously asking me that? You sat there all night, letting Lisa talk about how perfect you and Tüba were together, and you didn't say a word. Do you know how that made me feel?"
Hans frowned, her confusion evident.
"Nayeon, it's just conversation. None of it means anything—"
"Doesn't it? Because it sure feels like it does." Nayeon interrupted, her voice breaking. She looked away, trying to hide the tears now streaming down her face.
Hans took a step closer, her voice calm but firm.
"Nayeon, listen to me. I had no idea Lisa was going to say all of that. And as for Tüba—"
"Stop. I don't want to hear it." Nayeon said, holding up a hand.
"I'll send someone to pick up Haven later. Just... don't follow me." She opened her car door, sliding into the driver's seat.
"Nayeon, wait." Hans said, her voice tinged with urgency as she placed a hand on the car door.
But Nayeon shook her head, her tear-filled eyes meeting Hans' for a brief, agonizing moment.
"Take your hands off away!" She warned, clenching her teeth.
Hans hesitated, her hand falling away as Nayeon started the engine.
And with that, Nayeon drove off, leaving Hans standing in the driveway, the soft hum of the engine fading into the night.
Hans stood there for a moment, heaving a deep sigh before turning back toward the mansion.
Inside, the laughter had died down, the sisters exchanging uneasy glances as they noticed Hans reenter the dining room.
"Where's Nayeon-unnie?" Lisa asked hesitantly.
Hans didn't answer immediately, her jaw tightening as she walked past the table.
"She left." She said simply, her tone clipped.
"Is she okay?" Tüba asked as her brow furrowed in concern.
Hans didn't respond, disappearing into the living room. The atmosphere around the table shifted, the warmth of earlier replaced by an uncomfortable silence.
