NO ONE'S POV

The next morning, Nayeon was in her office early, hoping to get ahead on the mountain of work she'd neglected the past few days.

The night with her friends had stretched on far longer than she anticipated, leaving her with little sleep and an even longer to-do list.

The soft hum of her computer filled the quiet space as she typed away, the sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows behind her.

Coffee sat untouched on her desk, already cold, while documents and proposals sprawled out in front of her.

Just as she was reviewing a particularly tedious contract, a soft knock sounded at her door.

She frowned, glancing at the clock.

It was barely 8 a.m., too early for anyone to need her urgently.

"Come in." She called, not looking up from her computer.

The door opened, and she heard the faint shuffle of footsteps before a familiar voice broke the silence.

"Busy already?"

She froze, her fingers hovering over the keyboard.

Slowly, she looked up to find Hans standing there, a playful smile on her face.

She was dressed impeccably as always, her tailored suit hugging her frame in all the right places, but what caught Nayeon's attention were the items in Hans' hands.

A stunning bouquet of vibrant flowers—roses, tulips, and lilies—rested in one arm, while the other balanced a tray with neatly packed breakfast boxes and steaming coffee cups.

"Hans?" She said, blinking in surprise.

"Good morning." Hans greeted, stepping inside and closing the door behind her.

"What are you doing here?" Nayeon asked, watching Hans walking to her desk.

They had talked on the phone early this morning before she went to her office.

And Hans didn't tell her, she'd come.

"I figured you'd be exhausted after hosting your friends last night. So, I thought I'd bring you a little pick-me-up." Hans' said, setting the flowers and food down on the edge of her desk.

Nayeon's heart fluttered as she looked at the thoughtful gesture, the bright flowers, the coffee that smelled far better than the one she'd brewed, and the food that was likely from her favorite café.

"You didn't have to do this." She said, though she couldn't hide the smile tugging on her lips.

"I wanted to. Besides, I missed you." Hans' mumbled simply, leaning against the edge of the desk.

"We had just talked early this morning." She said and felt her cheeks flushed, glancing away, pretending to inspect the flowers.

"Phone calls doesn't counts" Hans teased, her eyes warm as she watched Nayeon.

"You're impossible, you know that?" Nayeon shook her head, laughing softly.

"And yet, here I am." Hans said, her voice dropping slightly, the teasing edge replaced by something softer.

Hans stood there for a moment, the noise of the office fading into the background as her presence filled the room.

"Thank you," Nayeon mumbled quietly, looking up at Hans while the latter dragged her to the dining table.

"Anytime. Now, sit. Eat. You'll need your energy if you're going to tackle the mess on your desk." Hans said, her smile widening.

Nayeon laughed, taking the coffee Hans handed her and sitting down.
