NO ONE'S POV
Nayeon sat at her desk, staring blankly at her computer screen. Her eyes scanned the numbers in front of her, but nothing seemed to register.
She sighed heavily, leaning back in her chair, a hand absently pressing against her forehead. Lately, she'd been feeling off.
Her mornings had become a battle, she'd wake up nauseated, unable to eat more than a few bites of breakfast. Even coffee, her sacred lifeline, had lost its appeal.
The dizziness came and went, and though she tried to ignore it, her body felt more drained with each passing day.
"Maybe it's stress." She muttered to herself, rubbing her temple.
Running a business wasn't exactly easy, and juggling that alongside her relationship with Hans wasn't helping.
She glanced down at her half-eaten sandwich, her stomach churning at the sight of it.
Before she could dwell on it further, Jennie strolled into her office unannounced.
"Hey, babe, do you have—whoa. You okay? You look...thinner." Jennie stopped mid-sentence, narrowing her eyes as she got a good look at Nayeon.
"Thinner?" Nayeon blinked.
"Yeah. Your face looks a little hollow. Are you eating?" Jennie said as she plopped onto the chair across Nayeon's desk, crossing her legs.
"Of course, I'm eating," Nayeon snapped defensively, though her hand instinctively went to her stomach.
"Uh-huh. Then why do you look like you just stepped off the set of a zombie apocalypse movie?" Jennie said and gave her a skeptical look.
"I've just been...tired. And my appetite's been weird lately." Nayeon groaned, rubbing her temples.
"Weird how?" Jennie raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know. Food doesn't taste right. Coffee makes me want to puke. And I've been dizzy a lot." Nayeon admitted, frowning.
"Wait. Nausea? No appetite? Dizziness?" Jennie sat up straighter, her eyes widening slightly.
"Yeah, why?" Nayeon asked warily.
"Have you been...y'know... intimate with Hans recently?" Jennie leaned forward, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"W-What does that have to do with anything?!" Nayeon froze, her brain short-circuiting for a moment.
"Oh, my sweet clueless, Nayeon." Jennie grinned, sitting back.
"What are you talking about?" Nayeon demanded, her voice rising.
"Do I really have to spell it out for you?" Jennie teased.
"Jennie, I swear to God, if you don't—"
"Babe, You might be pregnant." Jennie interrupted, leaning forward with a knowing smirk.
"What?! No way. That's impossible." Nayeon's jaw dropped, her hands flying to her stomach instinctively.
"Is it, though?" Jennie raised an eyebrow.
Nayeon opened her mouth to argue, but the words wouldn't come. Her mind was racing, flashes of the past few weeks hitting her like a freight train.
The nausea, the dizziness, the exhaustion... It all lined up.
"You're kidding," Nayeon muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Hey, I could be wrong. But if I were you, I'd take a test. Just to be sure." Jennie said and shrugged.
