"Ow! Watch where you're going!" You hiss underneath your breath as you stumble slightly, fearing that you are going to fall face first into the gravel. But you feel a hand wrap around your hand and another resting on your back, pulling you back up, and saving you from tasting rocks. You let out a breath of annoyance and adjust the makeshift blindfold that is wrapped around your eyes, hoping to let some morning light through and get a peek at where you are going, but you quickly feel it being tugged down again.
"No peeking, Blue. I told you I want it to be a surprise." Dean admonishes, hearing the excitement in his voice makes a smile spread across your face. He has been in an awfully chipper mood since this morning, acting like a small child that wants to show you an art project that he had been working on for hours. You even allowed him to take away your sight for the occasion. He had been acting so much better these past few days, you sure as shit aren't going to ruin it, plus, you're curious.
You and Dean walk for another minute until he stops you, mumbling that it would just be a moment before you can finally find out what it is that he is going to show you. Crossing your arms over your chest, you wait a few moments until you hear footsteps approaching you again, and a few seconds later, the blinding sunlight that you hadn't grown used to makes your hands go up to block out the rays. You blink a few times after you finally adjust, dropping your hands down, you see what Dean had been working so hard on. A grin slowly begins to creep alongside your lips when you see her.
"Oh my fuck. She's back!" You can't help yourself but squeal out in delight. Just seeing the Impala back in mint condition, back to how you first remember her, it makes you glow with delight. You head over towards the car, running your fingers over the new paint job as you observe the interior. There are no traces left anywhere that you could see, like the crash never happened. "Dean, this is amazing. You're amazing."
"Well, I wasn't gonna let her just rust out here." He heads over to you and overlooks his hard work once more. You can see the accomplishment slowly coming back across his facial features as a small smile spreads across his face. He shares it with you, smiling down at you before he catches you in a tender kiss. His tattooed hands frame either side of your face gently as he tips your head back and captures your mouth with his.
"Thank you. For... helping." He finally says.
"You mean nagging you until you yelled at me to fuck off?" You smile up at him, recalling the memories.
"Couldn't have done it without you. I mean it."
For some reason, you really do believe him.
You playfully shove him and shake your head, glad that he can at least joke about the situation, seeming a bit lighter than he has in a long time. "I have some good news, too." You say. "I was cruising the internet last night and I found a possible case for us. How do you feel about checking out a few sketchy cow mutilations and beheadings? You know, satanic stuff to get us all back on our feet."
"Sounds perfect to me." Dean says, looking over the car again. You can't help yourself, but let out a giggle as he observes his car with more attention than he should, sometimes you wonder if he gives that thing more affection than he gives you.
"I'll leave you two alone." You mumble, rolling your eyes at how he's acting like a lovestruck teenager. You start to head back to the house to wake up Sam, knowing that all of you have a lot of packing to do before it is back on the road again.
"Hey woah, woah." Dean tugs on your hand until you're flush against his broad chest.
"What?" You look up at him, curious and oddly shy.
"I love you." He leans down and kisses you again, grinning against your lips as you melt against him.
"More or less than the car?" You challenge.
