In a green field I stood, looking at the figure at the distance. My heart almost leaping out of my chest when my eyes looked down at the little girl holding her hand. The little baby whose life I took away at an attempt of taking my own.

I looked back into her eyes as she called me over with that smile I missed so much. I could feel the tears pouring as I ran to her, a hand holding the white dress I was wearing to prevent me from falling.

I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face as I watched her make fun of my run like she always did. Even in heaven, she was still the same old Minji that would laugh at anything I do.

My heart dropped all the way down to the pits of the earth as I stood before Minji, still looking as beautiful as ever. She finally looked so alive and that made my heart squeeze, her eyes finally shined again. I reached out to carefully feel the softness of her skin. Scared that she'll disappear into dust.

A choked out sob left me as I could finally feel Minji again, I could feel her under the pads of my fingers. She smiled at me softly as she looked into my eyes. "Hey." Her voice filling my empty soul with joy.

"Hey." I whispered back as I tried so hard to not break down in front of her. Tears falling as Minji reached out to grab my face too as tears swelled her own eyes. This was so heartbreakingly beautiful.

"You look so beautiful." She managed to say in a hushed whisper as she looked all over my face, wrapping an arm around me as she pulled me closer to her. "And dare I say that I missed you." And I sobbed against her chest as she held me.

"I'm glad you're here with me." She said as she pulled away a bit to help me wipe the tears off my face as she leaned in to place a gentle kiss on my lips. "Are you mad at me?" I asked and Minji looked at me with a smile. "No, I could never be mad at you. Your time was there to bring you here with me, it knew we were miserable without one another." She said and I couldn't help but smile through the tears that fell down my delicate skin.

"And so that we could finally continue from where we left off in earth." She said and I nodded. Being here with Minji again was the sign that we would finally get the love story we deserved from the start.

We'll now write our own pages and endings, letting our hearts beat all over again.

"But I'm sure you know who this is." She said, gesturing down to the little girl standing next to us. "Yes, and I feel nothing but utter regret and sorry for what I did." I said as I kneeled down to be face-to-face with her. She gave me a smile as she hugged me tightly.

"All has been forgiven, you were just broken and wanted a way out of the pain and feel that happiness again. And to see mom again." She said with a toothy smile that reminded me of Minji so much.

"And now you're here to make up any lost time!" She said with a giant smile on her face as she let my hands and Minji's hands intertwine slowly. I looked up at the love of my life who was smiling brightly as she looked down at our little princess.

Minji helped me stand back up, letting me lean on her like I always did, I could feel her warmth and it made my heart so content being without her was the worst that could've ever happened to me.

"Come on, we have a train to catch to our never ending happiness!" She said excitedly as she grabbed our intertwined hands and started to walk us through the beautiful green field with flowers scattered around.

The red roses symbolized our love as we walked through the beautiful field that has become my favorite. The place where it'd just be me and Minji, and our daughter.

Me and Minji locked eyes for a split moment, and I was able to see everything I actually missed of her. I missed the love that would radiate from her brown eyes. And now those love filled eyes were looking at me as her hand held mine tightly.

"Welcome home."

And yes, this was my forever home with Minji by my side forever.

Dying with a smile was worth it.
