Chen Ge and his gang had been waiting there early.

Chen Ge had his hands in his pockets. Though he was only around fourteen or fifteen years old, he dressed sloppily and his face was tanned from the sun. He had great strength, and when it came to fighting, he was ruthless.

His two buddies, Fei Piao and Xiang Zi, were a year younger, both thirteen. They weren't very tall, one with a long face and the other with a round face. The one with the round face was Fei Piao.

Aside from Chen Ge, who tried to stay calm, the two boys were a little uneasy. It felt strange to listen to a kid younger than them.

But Chen Ge, for some reason, had changed his mind. Despite being the one who had strongly opposed dealing with Zhou Zedong yesterday, today he suddenly decided to follow through. He said he was going to stick with him, and that's why the two had no choice but to tag along.

"Hey, we helped you, so is the business thing true or not?"

Chen Ge, with a half-burned cigarette hanging from his mouth, casually looked at Zhou Zedong. He had that air of someone trying to seem more mature than they really were.

Zhou Zedong didn't seem too surprised by his change in attitude. He remained calm and said, "Of course it's true."

Ever since that day when Teacher Xu asked him in front of the whole class, "Do you know how much this calligraphy set costs?" Zhou Zedong had started thinking about ways to make money.

This wasn't the countryside anymore. After observing for a while, he realized there were opportunities everywhere.

But with school and everything, he didn't have time to start a business himself.

He continued, "There are a lot of food vendors right outside our school. Their business is booming."

That's where he'd first noticed the opportunity. It had started with his little brother always craving to eat from those stalls.

Zhou Zedong suddenly realized that the elementary school here was different from their own back home. The school gates were lined with vendors selling all sorts of snacks, operated by older people. The students here all had pocket money, and every time class ended, the stalls were surrounded by kids.

On good days, the vendors could make a dollar in just ten minutes.

Meanwhile, Chen Ge and his group worked hard collecting trash, and even after a whole day, they didn't make anywhere near that amount.

"You don't expect us to sell snacks, do you?" Chen Ge was taken aback. "We don't know how to do that."

Zhou Zedong replied calmly, "I do."

He had been learning how to cook from his mother, so he could make quite a few dishes now.

Especially the egg-filled pancakes, his little brother could eat three of those every morning. The recipe was simple, and Zhou Zedong had gotten good at making them.

He had always thought his mother's cooking skills came from lessons she took in the city, but now he realized it was a skill she had developed herself.

After arriving in the city, Zhou Zedong realized that it wasn't like he had imagined. There were people selling egg-filled pancakes, but none of them made it as delicious as his mother did. Moreover, they sold them at a much higher price—one pancake cost one and a half cents.

At the school gate, he thought, if they sold them cheaper, at just one cent each, they could still make a good profit. Ten pancakes could easily make a dollar.
