Welcome to Fanfic's Hall of Fame, Aschenfeuer!!!

Aschenfeuer: Home. Both a place of comfort, familiarity where I can meet my favorite characters of my beloved books over and over again and a place of experiment with constellations and Alternative Universes I would have never thought of.

Then there is the community- the family living in this home - people from all over the world who adore the same, sometimes niche things I do. Fanfiction furthermore teaches you to believe in the things you loved when you were younger and that second chances are given.

There is the incredible possibility of writing and being creative over something you love, like a little help before you go out in the 'real' world and start with 'real', original art.

Aschenfeuer: A friend of mine wrote a fanfiction about Woodwalkers, which sadly doesn't exist anymore, and send me the link to read it on Wattpad. After that, I stayed a little bit longer on this website full of stories about books I adored.

I was a silent reader at first, until the pandemic. I had read all the fanfictions about Middle Earth there is in German, and I was like: OK, now that I have read everything, I want to do the same! So, I created this account and started my journey as a writer who as well connects herself with other people.

Aschenfeuer: I think I remember the first person to comment my story (that wasn't a real life friend). It was really thrilling and I was very thankful that anybody read my book and thought it was comment-worthy. Sadly I think they deleted their account! I couldn't find them later on.

Aschenfeuer: Through the pandemic it helped a lot and it brought me to writing in general for which I am forever thankful for. Therefore fanfiction gets all the glory for every time I rejoiced over writing in general! Also, it brought me together with many people on here, but as well on of my today best friends in real life.

Aschenfeuer: Having the opportunity to dig deeper into existing world buildings that I adore. Secondly, keeping favorite characters alive - at least for one little story.

Aschenfeuer: I hope to continue my existing fanfiction (series). I also do have a project for Middle Earth Fanfictions (German) on Tavanar, which I'd really like to help people find stories they would not have recognised otherwise.
