XCX_Stories_V: I don't think I can put into words how much fandoms and fanfiction mean to me. It's like another world you can dive into and escape the realities of your own life while also sharing your love for a certain fandom with other people who may have the same reasons or different reasons for being involved.

XCX_Stories_V: I was having trouble involving family, and someone mentioned a reading app. I downloaded Wattpad, and the rest is history! I was obsessed with Danisnotonfire (Daniel Howell), and when I found some fanfic of him, I was hooked! It was only when I read a Five Hargreeves fanfic by Wxnder_Storys (The Breakup) that I decided to be not just a reader but a writer.

XCX_Stories_V: Of course, I met them through TikTok initially, and then we followed each other on here, in support of each other's works. It was so lovely to meet someone who equally loved the same fandom. Whenever I upload, they are the first person to comment and like my work and its nice that we can keep in touch!

XCX_Stories_V: It has helped me through so much, not just mentally, but it has also helped me improve my writing, which has helped me a lot at university. Whenever I see people liking my work or saving my story in their library, I can't help but feel happy that someone has decided to take a chance on my work and use my book as a way to escape or enjoy their free time.

XCX_Stories_V: I hope that fanfiction continues to grow and becomes a more supportive place. I also hope that there is an opportunity for lesser-known writers to show off their works and gain more attention. There are so many hidden books with great potential, but they can't get the recognition they deserve! I may also be a lesser-known writer myself, but I hope I can support others in the same position.
