Welcome to Fanfic's Hall of Fame, Roros_writings!!!

Roros_writings: I like to think that fandoms are events in different or alternate universes. Fanfiction and fandoms mean a lot to me because writing fanfiction was the start of my writing journey. I started off writing small fanfiction two years ago, and today, I finished my first real book, which I am now editing. Without fanfiction, I would have never been introduced to writing, which makes me the person I am. It is my passion.

Roros_writings: It started two years ago when I didn't even know fanfiction existed.

I'd always wish the author of books added a specific scene I wanted. For example, with Harry Potter, I wanted Harry to have some more angst, so I started playing out scenarios in my mind. Then, I started writing down stories in my notebook with different outcomes of Harry Potter and scenarios with The Golden Trio. Then, my friend introduced me to a site called ArchiveOfOurOwn, where all my daydreams came true.

I soon discovered Wattpad later on, and I fell in love with reading fanfiction and got into more fandoms besides Harry Potter.

Roros_writings: I published a fanfiction story with the fandom Ninjago a year ago, a story about Lloyd and Harumi with the Hanahaki theme. Then, a few months later, I received a comment from a fan informing me that it was one of her favorite stories. The fan told me I included amazing quotes, great songs, and the way I phrased everything and described their feelings was so good she read it twice. I thanked her and suggested one of my other fanfictions from the same fandom, and she loved it! This comment really made my week and encouraged me to be an even better writer!

Roros_writings: Whenever I got sad, I always went to reading fanfiction fluff to cheer me up. It would instantly get a smile on my face, especially when the author would portray the scenario exactly how I was thinking about it in my mind.

Roros_writings: My favorite part of being a fanfiction writer is that I can use, of course without ownership, many characters from different fandoms, their backstories, and make a very interesting new plot or villian and hero switch.

Roros_writings: I think the future of fanfiction will be very bright, and with more movies and series on the way, there will be tons of more fandoms to write. Even if I become a successful writer, fanfiction will always have a place in my heart and I will continue to write more fanfiction.
