Three years had passed since Manon’s life had turned upside down, and she could hardly believe where she was now. From the chaotic whirlwind of fame, love, and the inevitable hurdles of her mental health, she had come a long way. And yet, she had everything she had ever wanted: a thriving singing career, a relationship with the love of her life, and more than she could ever ask for. But tonight, tonight was different.
The grand ballroom of the hotel had been transformed into a dazzling sight. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the sea of glittering figures. Manon had been invited to host the evening’s awards ceremony. The guests were the cream of the crop: designers, artists, celebrities, influencers, and moguls, all dressed in their finest attire. The buzz of excitement was palpable, but for once, Manon didn’t feel nervous. She was used to the limelight by now, the spotlight on her had become a second skin.
Tonight, though, she felt different. Tonight, she felt… stunning.
Manon stepped out in front of the crowd, her long, coily hair tied into a sleek, high ponytail that cascaded in perfect waves down her back. Her makeup was flawless: bold brows, a dramatic cat-eye, and a glossy nude lip. But what truly took the room’s breath away was her outfit. She wore a bright, vibrant pink plaited skirt that came just above her knees—long enough to be elegant, but short enough to show off her long, toned legs. The matching pink blazer, tailored to perfection, hugged her waist, accentuating her hourglass figure. She completed the look with gold heels that gleamed under the lights and a soft pink clutch with delicate pearl details.
As she took her place at the microphone, the crowd fell silent, and all eyes turned to her.
“Good evening, everyone,” she greeted with a smile, her voice steady and confident. “Welcome to the 2029 Luxe Awards. Tonight is a celebration of the finest in art, fashion, and music.”
She paused, giving a coy glance at the audience before continuing. “But before we begin, I’m honored to introduce someone who’s no stranger to the spotlight—someone who’s not only a friend but also someone I hold dear.”
Manon’s heart skipped a beat as she called his name. “Hyunjin!”
The audience erupted into applause as Hyunjin took the stage. His striking blonde hair was styled in loose waves, his sharp jawline adding to his undeniable charisma. He wore a tailored black tuxedo with a satin lapel, paired with polished black dress shoes. His eyes met Manon’s, and she felt her heart flutter as she handed him the award.
“I think I might need a speech for this,” Hyunjin joked, causing a ripple of laughter across the room.
“I think you’re more than deserving of it,” she replied, her voice sincere. “You’ve earned every bit of this.”
Hyunjin smiled, a warm, knowing smile that made Manon’s stomach flip.
Just as the applause died down, he turned to the audience, eyes glinting with something more than just gratitude.
“I’d like to dedicate this award to someone special,” Hyunjin said, his voice carrying through the microphone. “Someone who has been my biggest supporter, my muse, my love. Manon, you inspire me every day. You’ve been by my side through it all.”
Manon’s breath hitched, her heart racing. She looked up at him, eyes wide.
Without missing a beat, Hyunjin dropped to one knee in front of her, pulling out a small, velvet box from his pocket. The crowd gasped, and Manon’s breath caught in her throat as she realized what was happening.
“Manon,” he said softly, his voice full of emotion. “Will you marry me?”
The room was silent for a split second, and then the audience erupted into cheers. Manon’s heart pounded as she looked down at the ring—a stunning platinum band set with a large emerald-cut diamond, flanked by smaller stones on either side. The stone caught the light, sparkling like the stars in the sky.
“Yes!” she gasped, her voice shaking with excitement. “Yes, I will!”
Hyunjin stood, lifting her up into his arms and spinning her around. The crowd cheered louder, the sound deafening as Hyunjin kissed her, their love clear for the world to see.
Manon felt her heart swell with happiness, knowing that this moment, this love, was everything she had ever dreamed of.
