The family gathered in the living room, the soft crackle of the fireplace filling the air. Mannon sat on the couch, her hands resting on her belly.
“I think we should tell her,” Hyunjin whispered, nodding toward Elyse, who was playing with her dolls.
Mannon nodded, calling Elyse over.
“Sweetheart,” Mannon began, pulling Elyse onto her lap. “Mommy and Daddy have some exciting news.”
Elyse’s eyes widened with curiosity. “What is it?”
“You’re going to be a big sister,” Hyunjin said, smiling.
Elyse gasped, her face lighting up. “Really?!”
“Really,” Mannon confirmed, laughing as Elyse hugged her tightly.
“I’m going to teach the baby everything!” Elyse declared. “Dancing, singing, everything!”
As Elyse babbled excitedly, Mannon leaned into Hyunjin, her heart full. Their family was growing, and the future felt brighter than ever.
