Bonus: The Long-Awaited Arrival

The day had arrived.

Mannon's due date had come, and the excitement that had been building for months was finally at a fever pitch. Hyunjin, Elyse, and even the rest of their close family and friends were waiting anxiously for the news that the baby had arrived.

Mannon had gone through months of preparation, organizing every little detail, from the baby’s nursery to the outfits they’d wear home. It had been a whirlwind of excitement, and now the time was here.

Hyunjin stayed by her side, as always, his hand never leaving hers. They had been through so much together, and now this moment—this new chapter—was the culmination of everything they had dreamed of. Hyunjin had been as nervous as he had been excited, and Mannon knew that in this moment, he would be her rock, as he had been through every twist and turn of their journey.

The contractions had started earlier in the day, but as the hours passed, Mannon found herself growing more and more impatient. She was ready.

With Hyunjin’s reassuring voice by her side, they made their way to the hospital. The room was prepared for the baby’s arrival, a soft glow from the lamps giving the space a calm, peaceful atmosphere.

As the minutes stretched into hours, Mannon’s energy began to wane. But with Hyunjin holding her hand tightly, speaking soft words of encouragement in her ear, she was able to push through the pain. The doctor and nurses were by her side, guiding her through the process, and Elyse—though she was just outside the room with Chan and the rest of the guys—had already declared that she was going to be the best big sister ever.

After hours of labor, Mannon’s breathing grew more shallow, her voice hoarse from the effort. But finally, after one last, powerful push, the cries of their newborn baby filled the air.

Tears immediately sprang to Hyunjin’s eyes. He couldn’t believe it. Their baby was finally here. The moment they had been waiting for.

The nurse gently placed the baby on Mannon’s chest, and she could feel the warmth of their little body against her. Hyunjin’s eyes were filled with joy, his heart swelling as he watched his family expand in the most beautiful way.

“It’s a boy,” the nurse said softly, a gentle smile on her face.

Mannon's eyes locked onto Hyunjin's. Her heart was full of love, and in that moment, she felt like her world was complete. He gently brushed a lock of hair from her face and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “We did it, babe,” he whispered. “Our family is complete.”

Elyse, who had been eagerly waiting outside with the others, was the first to burst in. She rushed over to Mannon’s side, eyes wide with wonder. “Is the baby here?” she asked excitedly.

Mannon smiled through her tears, gently lifting their newborn son so Elyse could see him. “This is your little brother, Elyse,” she said, her voice soft but full of joy. “This is our family, all together.”

Elyse's eyes lit up. “He’s perfect, Mama! Can I hold him?”

With a proud nod, Mannon handed their newborn son to Elyse, watching as her daughter’s tiny arms cradled the baby so carefully, her excitement radiating. Hyunjin stepped beside Mannon, his heart full as he wrapped his arm around her. Together, they gazed down at their little boy and their growing family, knowing this was the start of the next beautiful chapter in their lives.
