The weeks that followed Mannon’s announcement were filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of changes. The news of Mannon’s pregnancy quickly spread through their inner circle, and everyone—Hyunjin, the guys, Amara, and even Chan—were overjoyed. But no one was more excited than Elyse.

Mannon and Hyunjin had been a bit nervous at first, wondering how their daughter would react to the news that she would be a big sister. Elyse was still young, and the thought of sharing her parents’ attention with another child was a big change. But to their surprise, Elyse took the news with an enthusiasm that warmed their hearts.

One evening, as Mannon and Hyunjin were sitting in their living room, chatting about the baby’s nursery and potential names, Elyse came running in, her face lit up with excitement. She had her hands behind her back, her eyes sparkling.

“Mama, Papa, I have something for you!” she said, her voice high-pitched and full of energy.

Mannon and Hyunjin exchanged amused glances, both curious and eager to see what Elyse had prepared. “What is it, sweetheart?” Mannon asked, her smile as wide as her daughter’s.

Elyse pulled out a small drawing from behind her back. It was a picture of a big heart with two smaller hearts inside, and in the middle, she had written, “Big Sister Elyse.”

Tears welled up in Mannon’s eyes as she took the picture from her daughter. “Oh, Elyse… this is beautiful,” she said, her voice thick with emotion. “Are you excited to be a big sister?”

Elyse nodded vigorously, her face beaming with pride. “I’m going to be the best big sister ever, Mama! I’m going to teach the baby everything!”

Hyunjin laughed, pulling Elyse into his arms for a big hug. “We have no doubt you’ll be an amazing big sister, baby.”

It was moments like these that filled their home with warmth and love. Elyse’s excitement was infectious, and it made the entire experience feel even more special.

Later that evening, Mannon tucked Elyse into bed, kissing her on the forehead. “You’re going to be the best big sister, Elyse,” she whispered. “The baby is lucky to have you.”

Elyse smiled sleepily, already half-asleep, and mumbled, “I love you, Mama… and Papa… and the baby.”

Mannon’s heart swelled with love as she watched her daughter drift off to sleep. She had no idea what the future would bring, but she knew one thing for sure: her family was growing, and together, they were ready for whatever came next.
